the staff were polite, plentiful and attentive, our room 52 was spacious but appeared quite plainly decorated compared to the room images posted on hotel and SLH website, I booked via SLH.com and 2 days before we were due to arrive I received an e-mail from them saying there was no wifi service ""Due to the small, very independent nature of Dunraven Arms Hotel, we wanted to let you know in advance they are unfortunately not able to offer WiFi when you stay. We apologies for any inconvenience."" I presumed this was true and didn't bother asking for confirmation when checking in but at least in our room there appeared to be a perfectly good wifi service available, SLH website also talks about room facilities including slippers, fireplace, but couldn't locate them in our room at least, perhaps that refers to the suites, there was an orange spotlight directly outside our room window which the curtains unfortunately could not entirely block out so that corner of the room around the tv was partly illuminated throughout the night (it's a stretch to get the curtains to last the entire length of the 3 windows in the room anyway, you pull at 1 end then notice as a result a gap has opened at the other end...), were disturbed after midnight by guests making noise in neighbouring room but guess there's nothing the hotel could do about that, breakfast was very nice, espresso coffee not so good but that's not unusual in many parts of Ireland, we had food in the bar the evening before (main restaurant opens from 19.00 to 21.30), had a nice smoked salmon starter, choice of mains was a bit limited: cod, lamb burger (?) and something salady, apple/pear crumble for dessert was very nice, other people came in, perhaps expecting sandwiches or a wider choice to be available and left without ordering after consulting the bar food menu, was a bit disappointed with the room but price at €108 incl. breakfast was not too much so maybe my expectations (based on published photos) were too high

Just a one night stay but very enjoyable. Staff very friendly and breakfast was very good. An added bonus was this is a dog friendly hotel and we took advantage. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Lunch in the bar was tasty and reasonable so all in all a great stay.

We had Lunch which was good and tasty but lacked presentation and tried to be nouvelle cuisine but fell far short of that type of food. Waitress lacked "any" experience. I didn't like the way they left the billfold on the table before we even got a glass of water!

We stayed here for a family birthday and couldn’t have been happier with the hotel. A lovely warm, cosy place with generous rooms and really comfortable beds. The highlight, though, is the food which is really excellent. The breakfast was second to none as was the roast beef on Saturday night. Adare itself is a picturesque town and a great spot to stop over. Highly recommended.
