“Looking Forward to Going Back'”
Reviewed 3 July 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This is the review I shouldn't write - Albertine is such a lovely find that I'd love to keep it as our little secret. However, Fiona & Francis have put so much effort into it that it deserves to be bold out all year round. The house is so comfortable with everything you could possibly need thought of. The rooms are decorated with a stylist boutique feel. There is enough room for an extended family (be warned you will want to spend all your time in the huge kitchen) You will need a car as there are some great places to visit nearby (The Oarsman in Carrick being a favourite) but the local pub is within walking distance... And if you believe in magic look out for Mr Hare who visits the front garden early morning and if you look close enough you might even see some fairies skipping through the trees as even they know that Albertine is enchantment itself. Book it, enjoy it but please leave some days free for our return visits.

We had an amazing break with our friends. The house has been designed and decorated beautifully, the bedrooms are warm and comfortable with boutique style bathrooms and the kitchen dining area caters really well for large groups and family living. The icing on the cake were the host providing insightful knowledge about the local area and the Irish weather!

“Wow!!! Can't wait to come back!”
Reviewed 21 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We arrived on a wet day after a rough crossing from Holyhead - Dublin. It was just getting dark and the kids had had enough of being in the car. We arrived at what I can only describe as my dream home inside and out! The twinkle of the lights around the mirrors and the Christmas tree were so very inviting after such a long drive! As was our fab goodie basket-thank you!

I must let you know at this point that I am a rather fussy ex Travel agent of over 20 years and If I'm leaving my home with my family it HAS to be for something at least on a par or better than my own surroundings..... Albertine Lodge did no way disappoint!!

Fiona met us on arrival and showed us around, and we settled in very quickly. Once we had a chat from Fiona and Frances about heating/electric etc we were ready to go!

My husband is Irish and we were spending time with his family who visited Albertine during our stay and they also were very impressed. It's very spacious so perfect for a large family or even 2 families. I just cannot tell you how delighted we were with Fiona, Frances and the house. We cannot wait to visit again, but next time (due to the floods everywhere) we are going in summer!!

“Perfect getaway in a beautiful house”

Myself and my family, along with our various partners and children (10 people in total) spent 2 great nights in this house in Jan 2016.

The weather was rubbish, needless to say, but that didn't matter, as the house is just a perfect place to batten down the hatches and relax. Beautiful bedrooms, beautiful living spaces, and loads of lovely touches (like hot water bottles in each room - glorious).

Handy for Carrick on Shannon too, which is a nice town to go out in.

Francis and Fiona were very helpful and accommodating, so basically, no complaints and I reckon we'll be back!!
