The location of this B&B is terrific - right amongst the pubs, shops and view of water front - yet suprisingly quiet rooms! Made reservations via email with Siobhan a week before. En suite rooms were very clean, comfortable and quiet. (Not to be confused with Murphy's Pub next door which also has B&B! Good place for food, drinks, and music) (No private parking, but public parking was not a problem.) Breakfast was delicious and served in dining room overlooking waterfront. Michael was very helpful providing information regarding local activities, local pubs and mass information. (It was Easter holiday). He recommended we take time for the Slea Head Drive -- which takes about 1 1/2 hours and is well worth it -- very scenic. So glad we did. Dingle was our favorite stop in Ireland, we wish we could have stayed more than one day/night -- we will be back to spend more time next trip and will definitely stay at Murphy's B&B again -- highly recommend it!

The Dingle Pennisula is absolutely stunning and though it takes a special trip it is well worth the effort. Not brave enough to drive while in Ireland, we took the bus from Tralee to Dingle Town which was a lovely ride especially if you sit in the front and has all the beautiful views of green patchwork and oceans. We stayed at Murphy's B & B right on the working harbor where Michael was a good host (though we hardly spoke with him) and breakfast was grand. We chose the front larger room (top floor, right window) where there is a 2 x 2 window looking over the harbor. The first floor is a shop, second floor is the dining and I believe residence, and the top floor are the rooms. This is a busy main two lane road the hugs the harbour but still has a country feel. There were no traffic sounds at night. This B&B felt more like a hotel because you could come and go without seeing the host at all.

The location was perfect for catching the bus (1 block away), shopping the tourist shops (four block radius), great pubs (especially liked John Benny Moriarty's Pub about 2 blocks away), and taking in a Slea Head Tour (Denis Ryan's Slea Head drive-personal tour in his vehicle).

We were a little surprised how touristy and busy the harbour was in August, the height of the busy season. We stayed two nights which was enough time to get the feel of the pennisula but if we had a car I would have stayed much longer to scope out the stunning countryside. But then I do not believe there is any car parking for this B & B.

I would visit this B & B again because of it's strategic location to the water views and nightlife available in Dingle Town. Great price, no frills decor but very clean. Be sure to bring your camera!

Room Tip: Chose the front family room with the window toward the harbour. Small window, but nice to have to view harbour, view of water/hills, and harbour/street activity below. Two double beds, wardrobe, large size private bathroom inside the bedroom. Updated room and bathroom.

Dingle is a beautiful little town with great craic. If you are going to Dingle than this is the place to stay. The owners are personable and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. Michael is just a gem. Great rate, great location, great folks.

Murphy's B&B in Dingle is in a great position on the harbour, it's clean and warm, very basic but the breakfast was the best we've ever had in a B&B, It's so large that we skipped lunch everyday we were there! Dingle is a lovely small town with loads of pubs/haberdasheries and wonderful restaurants.

The ring of Kerry is great but bear in mind that it takes around 4 hours, the ring of Dingle is a lovely drive too and takes around an hour and half. The drive from Kerry airport is around 30 to 40 mins depending on the roads (what u get stuck behind!)

Room Tip: We had the last room along the corridor and it was the best by far in size and quietness!
