Set on the dramatic and beautiful west coast of Ireland, we specialise in two hour to week long riding holidays for experienced riders, taking in all the beauty and exhiliration of the mountains and beaches the Dingle Peninsula has to offer. We also offer one hour mountain rides for novice/beginner riders. Our horses are mostly Irish sporthorses, with some draught, cob and appaloosa, ranging from 14hh to 17hh. We pride ourselves in having happy, well-cared for and well turned out horses, friendly knowledgeable guides and great routes designed for both fantastic riding and views. Beginner/novice riders can only be taken on the 1 hour mountain ride. Only riders intermediate/advanced experienced in the English style of riding, able to post/rising trot and ride two point/forward seat in canter can be taken to the beaches. My daughter and I booked the winter beach Trek on our visit to Ireland and we both agreed that this was the highlight of our trip!! We lucked out with the weather being partly sunny except for a passing shower which left an incredible rainbow that was picture perfect!! The horses are exceptionally well taken care of and you can tell Susan runs a top notch facility for her animals. Our guide..who I apologize as I cant recall her name..was a peach and quite witty! The horses were geared up to ability and we had a ride through the mountains, the town center of Dingle and the beach.!! We also had the delight of seeing Fungie the dolphin too! It was a memorable time and I would highly recommend this experience!!

My daughter and I were both looking forward to our reserved 1/2 day ride that would take us down to the Dingle beach for weeks before our trip. When the day arrived it was pouring down rain and we almost cancelled. But as Debbie, the owner, said - If you wait for the rain to stop you may never ride. We went ... and we loved it. But make sure you know how to ride if you want to go on the beach gallop! The staff will test your ability beforehand with a practice gallop to insure that no one will get hurt.

I planned this ride for an activity within a short stay holiday so riding time was minimal. Elaine went out of her way to fit in with our tight schedule. The tide was in so we could only ride inland - but we missed nothing by this. We had a few moments to ourselves on arrival and felt happy with what we saw. The premises is well set-up and animals healthy and relaxed with humans.
The ride was great. The horses well trained (I rode beautiful Rosie ) and Elaine was a friendly and informative guide. It was absolutely the best way to see Dingle and it's surrounds.

Dingle Horse Riding is a beautiful stable and trekking company nestled in the hills overlooking Dingle bay. The owner, Susan, is welcoming and accommodating. She and her team really love the horses, knowing each horses strengths and matching them quickly to visiting riders. The guides are wonderful and the horses stunning. They both know the trails inside and out. There are shorter mountain rides for beginning riders and longer rides through the mountains and along beaches for more experienced riders. I did the full day ride and it was well worth it. Galloping across the beaches it felt like flying. This was a gorgeous ride and I'll never forget it. If you're doing a full day ride don't forget to bring some Euros as you stop for lunch at nice little pub back in the hills. If you get a chance to stay for a couple of nights also ask Susan about staying on the property as she has an extra apartment that you can rent for 2 nights or more. We did this and it was a blast because we had the option to get up and help feed the horses (if you like). All around a wonderful experience. Thanks Susan!

We had a lovely time on their post-to-post. The landscape was stunning, the horses were well-conditioned and the guide was knowledgable. It wasn't 100% clear what was included in the price, lunches ended up being buy-your-own so be sure to bring some cash, but the accommodations were pleasant and comfortable all along.
