“Absolutely wonderful....”
Reviewed 1 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We had a wonderful week staying at this comfortable and beautifully appointed cottage with incredible views out over the surrounding countryside. This cottage is really well set up and was a great base from which to explore the Jurrasic coast and local towns or just sit and relax and watch the lambs running around in the fields at the back when the weather wasn't conducive to fossil hunting. It was really close to everywhere we wanted to go, but just far enough away from the main road to be really peaceful. Could hear the dawn chorus!

Thanks to Helen and her family for a lovely week's holiday. We wanted to bring the shower and the view home with us - best shower ever!

“Perfect in every way”
Reviewed 18 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of May and were extremely lucky with the weather, although there was a cool wind at times. Cider Barn is extremely well equipped and everything of the best quality. Very conveniently situated for visiting the surrounding area, a nearby garage with shop and a good farm shop. We don't usually return to the same area or property, but may well do next year.

A most amazing welcome. Ours is a military family and we had to celebrate Christmas early as it fitted around my husband being away. Helen provided a Christmas tree and decorations as well as a beautiful garland around the staircase and a wreath. We had a fantastic time in this gorgeous cottage. Our dog loved all the local walks especially around lamberts castle.
We will definitely be back.

This gorgeous cottage situated in the lovely village of Kilmington exceeded all our expectations.
Ideally placed for visiting the beautiful Jurassic coast with wonderful walks, stunning scenery around every corner and great local pubs and restaurants.
Cider Barn is extremely well equipped to a high standard with everything you could possibly need and more.
Spotlessly clean and tidy it was an absolute joy to stay there.
After a long day exploring it really felt like coming home, so comfortable and cosy.
The village has two good pubs ,a local shop and a super farm shop sourcing local and continental products.
All in all the total package for a week end away or a holiday break, could not fault.
Thank you Helen !

“The most tranquil place in England”
Reviewed 11 October 2016 for a stay in August 2016

After a frantic week in London, this was the perfect place for the whole family to relax and rejuvenate. We loved walking the fields between Kilmington and Axminster thanks to the informative brochures on hand and the proximity to the local pubs and farm shop meant we could park the car in the carpark and walk for dinner or cook up a storm in the cottage kitchen. I should also say that arriving to those wonderful scones was appreciated more than you can know. After three months travelling our week at the Cider Barn was the highlight of our time away and we will do everything we can to come back one day.
