“Great for family groups”
Reviewed 17 June 2011 for a stay in February 2011

Had a great short stay with friends (two families with young kids). There's enough room for big get-togethers over dinner and also a big family room when kids or adults want to hang out. Close to the amenities of central Bakewell but with a great view of the surrounding countryside from the raised garden. A very good base for exploring the area and enjoying time away with friends.

“spacious living in a great location”
Reviewed 17 June 2011 for a stay in July 2010

Not even a wet weekend could dampen our stay here, in a house which is deceptively large. The town has great places to buy food, and the kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook big meals in (we have kids so didn't go out).
The bedrooms are really big, and you could fit quite a few people in here without ever feeling you were tripping over one another.
Good location - walk one direction and you're in the town in about 5 minutes, and walk the other, you're walking alongside beautiful streams full of trout.
Really magical weekend, loved it.

“Lovely Big Modern House in Centre of Bakewell”
Reviewed 7 June 2011 for a stay in November 2010

We had a great weekend at this property which has plenty of room for 3 families and their children - Walking distance from historic centre of Bakewell - home of puddings NOT tarts the locals will tell you and within striking distance of the Peak District and local attractions such as the Devils, er.. giant cave. Charming pubs walks and relaxation a plenty this is a beautifully fitted modern house with open kitchen / diner and separate building living area across from the main house - Recommended a great country bolthole and weekend away from whatever big smoke you're from North or South and a great introduction to the Peak District.

“Lovely Bakewell”
Reviewed 6 June 2011 for a stay in November 2010

3 families comfortably stayed in this house. It has a clean, chic interior with a layout that meant there was plenty of space to socialize, but also allowed for each family to have their own space.

The kitchen, set in the centre of house, was very well equipped and was the perfect setting to share a Bakewell pudding or 3!

Off road parking was an added bonus and being able to close the gate meant that it was safe for the kids to run around outside without worrying about them. The garden, set back almost at the level of the roof had the most fantastic views over Bakewell.

We had a fabulous weekend in Bakewell and highly recommend it.

“Lovely Place”
Reviewed 1 June 2011 for a stay in December 2010

This was the second time we have stayed in this Cottage. There was 10 females of ages from 20's - 60's on a weekend break. Cant fault the location, although this time because it had been snowing really badly, we had to dig our way in, but all part of the fun. Walking distance to Bakewell, with its charming shops, pubs and places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definately recommend the place.
