“A holiday the whole family (including the dog!) could enjoy”
Reviewed 21 September 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We had a very relaxing holiday at Castleshaw. Edward could not have been more helpful.

The house is simply furnished but has everything you could require. The living room is particularly good with very comfortable leather sofas and a good tv for relaxing in the evening. We also lit the wood burning stove on a couple of the chillier nights (this was summer in Northern Ireland after all!).

The house is deceptively large and was more than able to accommodate us, our toddler, our dog and even a set of grand parents for a few days in the middle of the holiday. The garden is also a good size and fenced in was great for BBQing with our daughter and the dog running around as we knew they were safe.

The house is situated a few turnoffs away from the road but this was not a problem as we had our car and Castlerock is so small you are never too far from anything.

If I had one gripe it would be the quality of the beds - I think better mattresses would be more reflective of the overall quality of this property.

Other plus points not already mentioned? Good shower, excellent state of cleanliness, plenty of storage, Wi-fi access, very good value for money.

We were so relaxed at the end of our stay here we wanted to move in! We have already booked the same fortnight for 2013 and that, I think, is the best recommendation there is.

Thank you for a great stay Edward.

“Best holiday rental ever”
Reviewed 6 October 2011 for a stay in April 2011

We initially stayed in this property in June 2010 and had such a wonderful time we went back at Easter this year. We had an even better stay this time round. The weather was out of this world. Every day was wall to wall glorious sunshine with wonderful warm days and nights. This property has everything you could possibly need including WiFi and Freeview TV. The village of Castlerock has a butchers, home bakery, coffee shop, chemist and small supermarket. This is along with several good fast food carryout restaurants. The property itself is very deceiving from the outside but when you enter it you realise that it really is a Tardis. The bungalow is finished to a very high spec. It has three good sized bedrooms and a large kitchen with a dining table and a great lounge with a woodburner stove, should it be needed. There is a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. All you need to do is pack your clothes as everything else is provided. The garden is fully enclosed which was especially wonderful as Edward allowed us to bring our small dog with us. This property would suit families and couples alike who are looking for a relaxing holiday in high standard accommodation within walking distance of a fabulous beach. Roll on Easter 2012 when we hope to return for yet another week.
