We were able to get the last room on an incredible sun filled weekend. The location is great as it is a short hop to the beach , to walk around town and to explore the antrium coast. What we enjoyed most was the conversation with the owners to make the most of our time on the north coast....we saw the main attractions and were directed to lesser known sites and ended up walking across incredible heather filled headlands with no one around, beautiful! We were able to get into 55 just across the street and enjoy some great food both there and for breakfast at the Albany house. The owners made it worthwhile and we recommend enjoying some time here to discover the north coast.

We spent a couple of nights in the four poster suite at the albany lodge. The room was clean and had everything in it that you could need. The views were absolutely fabulous and soaking in the bath after a day hiking was pure bliss. The B&B was nicely located in the centre of things. The owners and staff were very attentive and helpful. They gave us great recommendations and directions to the local attractions. The breakfast was good and there was a decent amount of options to choose from. I would recommend this B&B. Just a word of warning though, as this is a period property, there are a lot of steps to navigate, so people with mobility issues might struggle.

This was such a find, we came into town with nowhere to stay and luckily someone suggested The Albany Lodge! this little lodge is just amazing! We stayed on the top floor penthouse with amazing views of the ocean. The room came with free tea and coffee in the room as well as clean towels and a hairdryer. which after traveling for two weeks was so appreciated! The lodge was spotless and the room as well. We got to choose our own breakfast in addition to fresh fruit and cereals, juice, and yoghurt. The owners were so nice and helpful with the planning of our drive to belfast.

Firstly, ignore the terrible reviews, most of them seem to be from people who never stayed here or have bizarre complaints. There are significantly more "excellent" reviews and these are the ones I'd pay attention to. It's a very personal service here and the owners are very friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and cosy and I spent the evening after dinner (at 55 degrees North where we received priority service as the owners of this hotel also own that restaurant) in the lounge room reading travel books (of which they have hundreds) and was also offered tea and coffee. The breakfast was excellent and again service was good. I got the feeling that this was a couple who took real pride in their business and genuinely enjoyed what they did. I'd definitely recommend this B&B to anyone.
