I cannot explain in a written post how amazing a trip to Northern Ireland is! Get a car, drive the eastern coast, stop, eat, visit, explore! Giant's Causeway is an amazing part of this trip, God Beauty and splendor! You'll stop at the Visitor Center, get some history and geology lessons and an electronic guide. Then it's a long walk to the causeway and well worth every grueling step!

Between the causeway and red trail walk this is perfect for a spring/summers day. Entry is a little cheaper online and to really enough the walk and centre allow 2 hours for this.

Visiting here was included in a trip with Finn McCool tours. What an amazing place! So beautiful and not to be missed!

It was very cold and windy when we visited but it was well worth it. The visitor center is nicely laid out and we appreciated the ride to the causeway, though many walk to it and back. Use the audio guide. It gives entertaining folk tales about the area and the giant Finn MacCool.

We parked in the railway station a short walk away for £6.00. We visited 2011 when there was no hideous visitor centre, not a sign of the Highviz brigade that now blight the stones because we can no longer be trusted to walk on the stones without being watched!! It was completely awesome then. Today it was still an amazing place but this is my advice to you.....
Make your visit early before the centre opens. Experience it in its rugged rawness.
