If. You like a heap of spuds and meat this is for you (very quickly served indeed to quick micro comes to mind) not for us though.Fine dining it certainly is not .My advice to Dobbins get a decent chef and refine the menu .Having said this staff friendly and attentive.Hard to see how restraint can rate highly Wether spoons directly across road is probably better and half the price of Dobbins.IePint hop house larger Dobbins £3.50 wetherspoons same pint £2.79

Just a quick business trip but Dobbins was exactly what I expected - small, local pub/hotel with very friendly staff and comfy accommodation. The Ritz it aint!, but as long as your expectations are correct you'll get just what you need. The local Taxi company is just around the corner so getting about was easy. The food was pub-grub (although the Restaurant was closed, so can't judge that) the portions were good and the price was fine.

Room tip: They're all good - virtually no traffic passing at night.

Well if you want to go and get fed. This is it. Nothing special or worth mentioning. Could have been eating in Witherspoon’s or Brewers Fayre. Ding dinners!!!
Disappointed - will definitely give it a miss for a while!

Used to eat in Dobbins regularly but then the food started to become hit&miss then more miss.Last time I ate here was over a year ago due to this, until today.Unfortunately the food was disappointing.I ordered lasagne&on the menu it said it was served with garlic bread&side. When it arrived at the table there was no garlic bread&a pitiful excuse for a side salad. The side ordered was garlic cubes, this arrived with a blob of garlic butter on top of the cubes, which we had to try to mix with the cubes ourselves. This could easily have been melted over the cubes before being served to us.The cubes were very bland even with the garlic butter as was the lasagne. Will not be returning to Dobbins, will be taking my business elsewhere in the town to other establishments that charge the same as Dobbins but offer better quality.
