I booked The Walk Cottage as a solo traveller visiting family in the local area.
The house is decorated in a homely cottage style and was extremely clean and comfortable. Set adjacent to owner Helens beautiful property, it felt private and had its own small enclosed garden to the side.
Two comfortable sofas to choose from after a long walk in Dinefwr Park (over the road), spacious bedroom with lovely crisp white bedding and equipped throughout with everything you could need for a home from home stay.
Helen was an excellent host - warm, welcoming and thoughtful. The bottle of wine left on arrival was a lovely and unexpected touch.
It’s an easy walk into Llandeilo with a choice of cafes and bars, independent shops and great butchers. There are also two small but well stocked supermarkets.
The Walk is a great base for exploring Carmarthenshire and the surrounding area. I went to the National Botanic Garden of Wales and also the Living Museum at St Fagans during my stay and thought both were fantastic.
I stayed for just short of a week and wish it could have been longer. It will be my first choice for return visits to the area and I would happily recommend.
Lovely cosy well equipped cottage, next door to the owners home and set in beautiful gardens. The location is perfect for a short stroll in to the lovely town of Llandeilo and is literally across the road from the stunning grounds and parkland around Dynefwr Castle for super walks.
Helen the owner was very relaxed and helpful, though not intrusive and kindly allowed me to extend my leaving time on my last day to fit in with my plans. Much appreciated!
Would certainly stay here again.
Can't fault this place. Well appointed, characterful and spacious. The family were very helpful and the location outstanding. Great value too.
Lovely quaint little cottage, beautiful area to go on walks and see all the sites, Helen and Bill were very helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend staying in the cottage
