Lovely park and so quiet only negative is the remoteness of the park and no real transport links. But area full of activities once you are there. Staff on site extremely helpful and welcoming. Pub on site a good idea.

Thank you for your kind words , we are glad that you found your stay with us enjoyable. Our 17thC Inn is very popular for a cosy evening drink or a bite to eat from our wonderful menu, we are quite remote but this we find adds to our beauty. We do hope that you will return again soon

We booked the Malham 1st floor barn conversion appartment, and walked in to a lovely spacious open plan accommodation, that was spotlessly clean and felt cosy and homely. The finish of the appartment was to a high standard with solid wood funiture and doors throughout, comfy sofas, and a fabulous beamed roof. The kitchen was spacious, clean, and well equipped, and it was nice to be able to join in conversation whilst cooking. The two bathrooms accommodated a family of 4 adults well with a bath with over shower and another shower/toilet ensuite.
The site is very well maintained, and with a farm shop, cosy pub and restaurant you really have all the comforts right under your feet. The farm shop is well stocked with basics, but also a selection of local fresh veg/fruit, bread, cakes and craft beers/wines, gifts. We enjoyed the luxury of nipping 5 yards to choose a treat, or any essentials we had forgotten.
The site also offers a small indoor heated pool again, very clean & tidy, a small games room, a launerette room, so if like us you like somewhere out in the country you really have the best of both worlds here. The site houses quite a number of static caravans, however they are not imposing, as they are set off to one side and landscaped within trees and grassed play areas, and many have created their own pretty gardens around their caravans too.
The staff were totally amenable to any request, and nothing was too much trouble, and you were always greeted with a smile and pleasant disposition, and a little chat.
We chose to visit Bowland Fell early September once the schools had started back and for us as a group of adults, 1 with profound learning, speech, disabilities we could not have had a nicer time!! we were lucky to get the pool to ourselves mid week, likewise the little games room, the restaurant were very accommodating of special dietery requirements and also seating away from any noise, which enabled me to enjoy the luxury of not cooking and eating out!!! a real treat for any mum!! We ventured out every day and found a good variety of attractions from horse riding(Kilnsey Trecking- very accommodating of our adult with special needs), white scar cave, Settle & Grassington 2 pretty market towns, Embsay steam train, Gisburn forrest, swimming onsite, Skipton town, and Blackpool zoo & lights (a little further to travel, but good selection of animals). Every journey was enjoyable just to see the gorgeous scenery around and about, and the journey to Blackpool via Clitheroe took in some lovely villages.
Our holidays can be either very good or very bad depending on how we accommodate our son, and this was one of the best holidays we have had with him, simply because of the excellent facilities of Bowland fell, the staffs very friendly attitude, and the proximity and standard of the lovely accommodation. We would not hesitate to return.

The site lies in anattractive, quiet rural area. It is well-laid out and maintained. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Of the various on-site facilities, we only used the shop, which was well-presented and well-stocked for a small place.

Our unit was at the lowest end of the available range, but it was fairly new, provided good accommodation and had been thoroughly cleaned for our stay. In some ways it was a bit daunting, for, being walkers, we were prone to arrving back with wet clothes and muddy boots, which had to be organised fairly carefully. The main jarring note was that the microwave was on an offset shelf such that my wife could barely use it.

All-in-all, though it was a good place and well-located for our sort of holiday.
