The house is lovely and we had a good holiday. However, there was no welcome package when we arrived such as tea bags, coffee or milk. Inadequate amount of toilet rolls, no bin bags, chipped crockery. The bedding is definitely not luxury standard, especially the pillows. Not enough towels and again not luxury. The blinds are either broken or not long enough. No lamp in one bedroom and broken in another. I was disappointed because my cousin came from New Zealand. This was an expensive holiday and the only one I will get.
It is potentially a lovely place if these are issues are corrected. Other previous comments about items needed in the kitchen still need to be met. No vegetable peeler. It's a little difficult peeling veg with a knife.
We were very excited about staying in this beautiful-looking property with excellent reviews... however, for future guests I just wanted to highlight an extremely inflexible response to the terrible weather conditions earlier in the year. We were booked to stay as a special family weekend away on 2nd and 3rd March 2018 and, following unbelievably heavy snowfall across the country, regretfully had to cancel as we had a four-hour car journey to reach the area and it was just completely unsafe to travel. Despite several telephone calls and emails to the owner to explain the situation, express my disappointment and ask for the possibility of rescheduling to alternate dates, or perhaps waiving some of the cancellation fee, I was told very bluntly that 'the roads are clear in Truro' (which was later in fact disputed by friends in the area) and no further consideration would be made to accommodate our request. Sadly it has of course made us re-book elsewhere, paying out again in full. Considering the weather brought most of the UK to a halt that weekend, although I obviously wasn't expecting a full refund, I was very disappointed in how the situation was handled.
Beautiful, warm, comfortable, cosey house. Very close to the shops to get bits for the weekend & pub nearby. Perranporth beach was about 15 mins away & was wonderful (despite Storm Brian!). We had a great, local takeaway from 'Curry Inn' for a night in too!
There was lots of space for everyone, perfect for our cousins trip to visit our Grandad. After seeing the house our friends are also looking to book this house for their weekend away soon too. I would definitely book this house again for next year's trip and recommend to anyone!
Had a great stay in this lovely house. Lots of space and comfortably fitted out. The hot tub was amazing.
Kitchen could do we a few more things in it like a cheese grater, garlic press, cafetiere and baking trays as difficult to cater for 8 people with the limited equipment. It is also worth noting that although this is a 6 bedroom house only 4 bedrooms actually have beds in them ie 4 double/kingsize beds.
