Very clean, spacious & comfortable rooms. Lovely location opposite the beach and not too far from Clacton, Frinton & Walton. Plenty of parking. Staff very friendly & helpful. My only criticism would be the breakfast, although there was a good variety on the cooked menu, the full English breakfast was rather well done & the continental choices were lacking slightly & the range of cereals were mainly the sugar covered varieties.
But we all really enjoyed our stay & would not hesitate to stay here again & would recommend this hotel.

Having stayed here before under the Legacy ownership we were very disappointed to find that the Hotel has now slipped to a budget level. Food quality has deteriorated and overall the experience has been very disappointing.

We took my elderly mum (in a wheelchair) to this hotel for 3 nights to relive childhood memories of family holidays but needed somewhere comfortable but more importantly accessible for mum. This hotel was great. The staff were extremely friendly, the hotel was stylish without being stuffy and we were able to take up a 2 course dinner, bed & breakfast option which was brilliant for us with mum. The disabled room was great for mum and we could get around the hotel & car park without any assistance. What stops this being a 5 star review is that the breakfast continental buffet was very poor. No cereals apart from one small bowl of muesli, little or no fruit, had to ask for bread to toast. The toaster was poor, either burning or not toasting the bread at all, no marmalade, no yoghurt. The cooked breakfasts were good though but they really need to sort the buffet, its letting the place down.

Room Tip: Upstairs front has the sea views but downstairs have the accessibility

In general a good hotel! All newly refurbished, with nice decor, comfortable rooms, very very friendly staff, good food in general, and great beach location!
The only thing I'm not happy about is the breakfast. Not enough variety of nothing. It supposed to be a buffet but there is only a little bit of fruit, some cereals, box juices, 2 types of breads plus toasts, no ham nor cheese. Eggs are good and have a great variety to choose from.

This hotel has fantastic customer service from all departments

Rooms are cosy but very clean, contemporary in design and more than adequate

Plenty of good quality towels, sheets where spotlessly clean with complimentary toiletries

Breakfast was great with good service, plenty of choice and excellent quality
