Just returned from a weeks skiing over Christmas in Morzine staying in the fabulous Chez Claude. I'd like to say that the level of hospitality and friendliness which the staff showed was second to none, the hosts Andy, Sylvie and Claire were faultless, nothing was too much trouble for them, from arranging transport if needed, to topping up the firewood at 7pm in about a metre of snow. The chef Ellen was amazing, considering it was just week 2 for her then I can't imagine the standard of grub she will be serving up by March. Overall the week was great fun made so by the other guests and the first class service given. The chalet itself is clean and tidy, has everything you need and the showers are hot and powerful. Beds are comfy, in fact too comfy, it was a struggle to get up some mornings after the food and wine of the previous evening.
Chalet is very well located too, right by the main bus stop to the lifts, and if you go to town for some apres then it is about 15 minutes to walk home.
Oh apparently I booked this holiday through an intermediary, Piste Pals.....I would hardly have known this as the woman who runs this company didn't even show up to say hello, or to apologise for mixing up chalet and transfer bookings. Just as well Andy and Sylvie were on hand to smooth it all out!!

I've just returned from a ne week stay at Host Savoie's Chalet Chez Claude. I booked via the solo skier specialist Piste Pals for a 1 week ski holiday.
The chalet is fairly basic but very clean and well looked after. It's also only a minutes walk from the nearest bus stop into town and the 2 main chair lifts, handy when you are clomping along in ski boots. When not in ski boots it's about a 15-20 min walk to town.
Sylvie (Host Savoie owner) was there with us al week making sure we were OK and providing tips on where to head for the best conditions.
Sylvie and Andy spend the summer designing meals, and you can tell they have been well thought out... we ate VERY well all week. 3 courses every night all very tasty. The one veggie in our group was also very well looked after. Breakfast was fresh baked croissants every day, bread, jams, eggs and cereal as much as you can eat. They will also provide a packed lunch for you every day, well worth it if you are on a tight budget or want to avoid the long queues on-piste.
I really enjoyed my stay in Chez Claude and would love to return.
