Overpriced, under spiced, overcooked food in a badly furnished, pretentious environment.
It's not all that bad. The building itself (from the outside at least) is beautiful and the staff is friendly. But that's really it for the positives. The interior is bad, the toilets (only accessible by lift - no stairs?!) are a disaster unless you like very bright lights, plastic plants, artificially aged mirrors and red doors.
We had the lamb shank cooked in a ginger broth (could not taste the ginger nor the lamb and it was overcooked). No starters , dessert or coffee but one kir (not royal) and one glass of rosè and the bill came to euro 71.
How did they get 4 stars?!
Having said that, try to find a restaurant that is open in the Avignon area.
