Just had our second meal and night out at the wheatsheaf, and I must say the food here is fantastic and very well priced. Lee and Mary and all the locals made us feel very welcome, and I would recommend for anyone to visit here. This could very well be my new local. We're certainly going to Be returning again. Thanks Paul and Diane xx

The reception we received from, I assume, the landlady was totally unacceptable. Yes, we were 15 minutes late for our dinner reservation, however surely in the restaurant trade that is nothing? Sadly it took the edge off what was supposed to be a celebratory dinner. The terrible rating for service is due to this, not to the lovely young lady who waited on our table.

Unfortunately the staff weren't very welcoming. Menu was limited on a Thursday evening. The burgers were poor quality and chips appeared to be frozen.

We asked Lee and Mary to provide a buffet for 80 people to serve after a family funeral. Throughout the whole booking they were nothing but helpful, kind, making good suggestions. The food was excellent (a buffet afternoon tea) and many people commented on it. Superb food and service thank you,

Nice people. Food was ok and nothing great. Burgers were frozen for sure. Wouldn't eat here again but would visit.
