“A perfect rural retreat and amazing countryside”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Loved the quirky cottage and location. Very comfortable and perfect for us with walking, fishing and sailing all on the doorstep. Tom is very friendly and helpful. Do buy the local Irish OS map for the area before you go as its invaluable! Glad our dog was made so welcome.

If I were to describe the cottage in three words, cosy, clean and welcoming. The owner Tom from the start made sure me and my partner had everything we needed he went as far as to even buy us milk and give us lifts to the shops. Right from the start we were made to feel at home. The post office is within less than 10 minutes walk and the beach 20. The cottage pre dates the famine and was used as a meeting place, it is lovely and cosy ,full of treasures that tell stories from Toms travels. I would love to stay again and would highly recommend the stay.

Amazing place for those who like to be off the beaten track a bit! The traditional look and feel of the cottage fits in perfectly with its surroundings....stunning views and a beach 5 mins from the cottage which we had basically all to ourselves!!! Really had a super holiday here and Tom was the perfect gentleman and good craic! Lighthouse tavern is one of the local pubs and has traditional music nights at weekends! If looking for a bit more hustle & bustle Portsalon or Carrigart only 15-20 mins drive away. If you get dry nice weather then this place is one of the nicest parts of the world!!!

“Traditional cosy cottage with stunning surroundings.”
Reviewed 28 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We had a lovely stay at this sweet little cottage. It is full of character and very comfortable and cosy. The surrounding area is stunning and truly remote. If you're looking for peace and quiet this is the place to come. Tom, the owner, could not have been more helpful and accommodating, he clearly knows the area well so can offer lots of advice on things to do near by. Alternatively, simply exploring the beaches and lanes surrounding the cottage is enchanting in its self. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit this lovely cottage again.

“Great cottage, very cosy”
Reviewed 28 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

In May 2015 we went to stay at the cottage to enjoy the bank holiday weekend. The cottage itself is fantastic for self catered accommodation with furnished kitchen and living room with wood burning stove. The owner Tom is on hand for good advice as to the sites and attractions nearby and is very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, it is rural with some close by pubs and restaurant. The cottage is a is located on the idyllic coastlines of Donegal and surrounded by Mountains and was a perfect base for exploring the rest of Donegal. Perfect place for relaxing and we will defiantly be returning again. It was also fantastic value and Dog friendly as well
