“Fantastic place in a great location”
Reviewed 23 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

This is the second time I have stayed in the hall and it was fantastic on both occasions. We were a stag party and the venue was ideal. House accomodated 10 of us comfortably and had plenty of beds spare. Room quality overal is great and huge communal areas which are perfect for a group. There's a small village in walking distance with two good pubs, both serving reasonable food, together with good cycling and running nearby and Shrewsbury is close enough for shopping or a night out.

“Amazing and huge!”
Reviewed 24 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Our group stayed at the cottage for 4 nights, midweek, we were greeted with welsh cakes and wine which was fab. The place is amazing and huge, plenty of space for everyone so you are not on top of each other all the time, and is decorated to a high standard with good facilities. Had a great time and we will definately be booking again, Marg the owner is really helpful, but not in your face and over the top with rules and regs like some cottages can be.

Fantastic place!

“Excellent facilities for a large group”
Reviewed 17 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Stayed at Gaer Hall for a family party nearby. Excellent facilities for a large group with so much space to utilise. Outdoor space for children would be great in the summer and plenty of games to play.

“A wonderful house”
Reviewed 21 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We have just returned from a long weekend away, staying at Gaer Hall. We would strongly recommend the house to others. It is in a great location for visiting the various sights and there are amenities close by.
We were a large group of 12 adults and 9 children and the house accommodated us all well. You do have to be careful with the thermostat and ensure the boiler stays running (which is very easy to do) or the hot water disappears quickly with a large party, but apart from that we really couldn't fault the hall. There were lovely Welshcakes waiting for us on arrival and Margaret was most accommodating of our need for extra cots etc.
We all enjoyed our weekend :-)

“A beautiful house!”
Reviewed 7 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We stayed at Gaer Hall for the weekend with a group of friends. We wasn't sure what to expect at first as there was only a few photos on the website. As we travelled up the drive it was obvious the photos hadn't done it justice, its a beautiful house and the views were lovely. Inside the house was just as nice, what was more appealing was it felt cosy and lived in, very family orientated too. Loved the large country kitchen which was very well stocked and the welcome gift of wine and chocolate cake was a lovely touch. the large living room was so comfy and relaxing we didn't want to move! Margaret the owner was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble, from moving beds around as there were only four double rooms and five couples , to putting Sky Sports on free of charge to watch the Rugby League Grand Final. Plenty of space and spent many hours just sat outside looking out over the fields. We will definately be booking again and maybe bringing the kids who would love the pool table and the large garden which is well stocked with toys and games. We were all sad to leave and would have loved to have stayed longer :-)

Thanks for that. We are constantly trying to improve our offer so I'm thrilled you had such a great time. And the Sky Sports will still be there when you come back next year with the children! ps I take your point about the photos. We're on the case, thanks again and see you soon, Margaret
