I have be meaning to write a review on this property for a while. Despite an unexpected start to our stay, the lady who runs this cottage went out of her way to sort the problem out and the cottage is just lovely. Following a day in the hills, sit by the cosy fire at night then collapse in the comfortable beds with crisp linen.
Telford House is decorated beautifully with lots of attention to detail.
We loved the location of the cottage and enjoyed watching the boats travel along the canal. The views from the house were amazing, and it was a pleasure to wake up to these each morning. The location close to Fort William and Ben Nevis was good. We also enjoyed cosy nights in front of the coal fire (a bit of a novelty coming from Australia).
We stayed here for a week in November when there was a brief dusting of snow. The view over Ben Nevis was out of this world, waking up to that everyday was something special. The cottage was well equipped, the logs and coal were really appreciated given the weather! Only slight tweaks would be to have a wifi connection and bigger bath towels - but these are hardly the end of the world. Fabulous cottage in a great location and we will be back to walk the Ben!
