The house and island provides the ideal, stress-free vacation. This is a vacation you don’t have to plan for-/other than getting to the island. In addition to all the conveniences in the house, Margaret gives you all the referrals you could possibly want. Her friendships with local residents make every experience special for you. The house itself has a view you won’t want to leave. If you’re thinking about a trip to the Bahamas, stop thinking and book the house. I’ll be returning!
Roomy house with outstanding views of the magnificent water! Even on rainy days, we could sit on the covered porches and enjoy the beauty. Close to great beaches, fun adventures and delicious food. The owner's notebook gives a comprehensive summary (with directions) of places to dine and explore. This was our third time staying at the Hummingbird House and we can't wait to go back!
Our second trip and stay at the Hummingbird House was better than the first, which was amazing! The beautiful flowers, birds and 360° views are wonderful and Margaret's "book" is full of helpful information and suggestions for everything from where to eat, shop and, beach. The house is in a great location and everything is close. It is nicely equipped and ready for a fun stay.
Myself and two friends booked the Hummingbird house for a bonefishing getaway. It perfectly suited our needs. The house is very nice and sits high up on a hill with decks that allowed us to drink coffee to the sunrise and grill into the sunset. It is in a quiet neighborhood but with close proximity to the amenities of Georgetown. Without question I’d stay there again. The Barton’s are very responsive and gave us a lot of local information that we as helpful. Grabbing a beer and food at yellow tails on the corner of the neighborhood was a lot of fun too
