If you are looking for a peaceful, lovely setting at an affordable price, I recommend booking one of the houses at The Cays. Norman and Julie are very pleasant, helpful and a delight. Additionally, their potcake dogs were adorable! Their houses are nestled in a lovely cove with spectacular sunsets. There are a number of beaches just minutes away by rental car and Georgetown is just minutes away.

Catch a Fire Bar and Grill is right next door. Be sure to head over there to enjoy their Rake and Scrape bands and of course, their grill and cocktails. The proprietors, Tony and Jo are super friendly.

The trip to Santanas and Ma's Bakery was well worth the drive. The lobster and shrimp at Santanas was excellent and I so wish that I had a reserve of the rum cakes from Ma's Bakery. Be sure to ask to see the pictures of Johnny Depp while at Santana's.

Also be sure to ask how to get to the Tropic of Cancer Beach just minutes from Santana's. It is one of the loveliest beaches on the island! You will also want to rent a boat from Minn's to travel the Cays and coves around Stocking Island. You will never forget the beauty of the water and the contrast of the sand against it nor the beautiful starfish and other marine life. My husband and I and the dear friends we travelled with did not want to return home!

We are already dreaming of our next vacation and look forward to staying at The Cays again.
