Stayed for one night on a secret escapes deal which included a three course evening meal. For starters my wife had salmon and leek fish cakes and I had tiger prawns with chilli, garlic and ciabatta and we both had the hillbilly for the main course. This consisted of ribeye steak, cheese, bacon, mushroom, egg, onion rings, chips and salad. For desert we had sticky toffee pudding and banoffee pie. All the courses were large portions and absolutely delicious. The pub itself had a nice relaxing atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The accommodation was separate to the pub and was very warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated with a large en suite shower.
For breakfast was was a large selection to choose from and I tried the South African breakfast which was superb.
We had a very relaxed time and overall it was one of the best places I have ever stayed. Highly recommended!
