The cemetery is next to a busy road junction. The car park of the neighbouring civil cemetery is the best place to park. The cemetery is very well kept and was fortunate to arrive just as the sun came out. The sight of the graves of these young men brightly lit against a cloudy sky was very moving. Aside from the British there are some German and a lone Polish grave.

The cemetary at Douvres is beautifully maintained. The visitor book and registry of graves available to all visitors. A little more local information would have been nice on the actions in and around the village which led to it becoming the resting place for so many servicemen.

Visited my great uncles grave for the first time. Entering the arch there is a small cupboard in the wall that contains a record of all the people buried there and a visitors book. The cemetery is well maintained and very peaceful.

A very peaceful place, well maintained and not busy. Interesting thing also is that there are a number of German war grave in this British cemetery.

Beautiful tombstones and well looked after. Very nice to see such time and effort has went in to preserving what these men went through.

Quiet and tranquil. Perfectly kept like all CWGC cemeteries, large and small. Mainly D-Day and just after casualties, if I remember righly. Thre was an ADS next door?

We visit this cemetery often as the father of a dear friend lies there. It is always immaculate, not a weed in sight and at this time of year the roses and other flowers are lovely. Despite being close to a busy road the whole atmosphere is one of peace. Some of the head stones have been removed for renovation, but there are notes to this effect on the relevant graves.
We have been there when work was being carried out, such as re-laying turf and have always been impressed by the reverence with which this is undertaken.

as you would expect, the markers are regimented, what make the difference here & at the Canadian Cemetery are the the Flowers & Roses. The War Graves Commission and the gardeners do our country proud in their upkeep of such places. The Flowers, Roses & Gardens give both a very moving distinction. The American Cemetery is in comparison a sterile place, wonderful view but sterile.
