Punga Cove Resort was the perfect place for a couple of days rest and recuperation. The location is just simply stunning. Our room was of a good standard and offered amazing views (room 17) of the bay and the beautiful bush. We really felt part of nature and the environment. Everyone we met wasjust so friendly and helped us feel at home and relaxed. Also lots of ideas from everyone about what to see and do and because of this we went to Titirangi, Beach, which we had dismissed earlier in our planning but which turned out to be just gorgeous even in the heavy rain.So pleased we didn't miss that.
As it is 'off season', there was a lot of maintenance work going on so the restaurant wasn't open however the cafe on the waterfront was perfect. We spent many an hour sitting there, drinking a cold beer or a glass of wine, just watching life go by. The cafe food was great and we certainly didn't miss the restaurant not being open.
It is certainly going to be a 'R&R' destination for us going forward, even off season.More
