“Spotless, well equipped with great views”

We spent a weekend with in laws and elderly parent, 6 in total and never felt cramped. We only cooked breakfast while we there there but the kitchen appeared to have everything you would need for a longer stay. The nearest pub is two miles away in a very pretty village but the road is unlit and without pavement so I wouldn't recommend walking it. We really enjoyed our time at Rola and would stay there again

Pros
There wasn't a spec of dust anywhere and the property smelt fresh and clean.
The views are amazing and the infrequent train is a pleasant treat.
The two double beds were very comfy
The settee was comfortable.
Pleasant gardens with sun loungers, ponds, outside seating and bbq
Large dining table that seats 8. Plus anther kitchen table that sat 4/5.
Large TV.
Great local information provided.
Good bathrooms and a downstairs wet room.

Cons
The zip link beds are old, noisy and uncomfortable. They need replacing.
The wifi is very slow, it pretty much stopped with more than one person connected, even with basic browsing.

What wonderful rental experience from the outset, dealing with Harj and Phil and staying at this fabulous cottage
Four bedroom cottage which comfortably slept 7 complete with ample private car parking space
Cottage is beautifully appointed and the sunset picturesque

“Fantastic Accommodation”

We went for a long weekend (Friday to Monday) and were blessed with good weather particularly on Sunday.

If you like peace and quiet and a nice view, it is perfect for you. The cottage was very comfortable with all the mod cons that you want. The beds were comfy, lovely duvets and pillows with fabulous views of the sea out of the windows. I'm sure during the lighter evenings, the sunsets would be amazing.

There is a train line between the property and the sea, but the trains are only every other hour and can work to your advantage. We used the train and went to Barmouth on the Saturday, which was brilliant as we could take the dog on the train too. No hassle of having to drive all around the estuary and parking etc. Had there have been trains on the Sunday, we would have gone to Aberdovey by train too.

We had a problem with the heating and on the Saturday morning contacted the owners, within two hours it was up and running again.

As we live close to that area of Wales, if the cottage or any of the others were available for a weekend, we'd go and stay there again.

We wanted somewhere to relax and chill out that is what we got! Spent hours just soaking up the scenery, sights and sounds of various birds and even porpoises. A wonderful haven to come back to and recommend a visit to Aberdovey.
However we couldn't use the beach path as it was deemed unsafe by our adventurous friend! and we enjoyed waving at the occasional train and getting hoots from the drivers. Do not let either put you off this little piece of heaven.

“perfect place to chill out and recharge the batteries”

Rola cottage is the perfect place to unwind and chill out for a few days. This is not a glib cliche, it's true!
We've just returned from a weekend to fantastic Rola cottage where the most challenging process was whether to eat Indian or Chinese on the first evening (Indian won!) - kindly brought in the back of an Asda home delivery van.
The teenagers with their whizzy Nintendos, laptops and kindles all stopped to spend some time talking to their old mum and dad. Well, for a while anyway..
Amazing what good old fashioned fresh air does for the spirit.
The dogs loved it.
We loved it more.
Bring on summer and another trip to Rola,
