This was a new place for us to visit. Lovely beach and a nice long frontage to walk. Plenty of places to get coffee and eat. There was a small children’s band playing in the square when we were there. Search out the murals that are painted on the sides of buildings, they are really well done. Well worth a visit.

Recently stayed here for 1 week.We found Gran Tarajal to be a very small and quiet resort. There are places to eat on the front opposite the beach but not much variety. The town as a few cafe bars and only a few shops. We had to eat in the same restaraunts on more than one occasion. A really spanish resort with very little English spoken by the locals so try and learn a little Spanish it does help.Would not recommend if you like a more liveley resort.

We loved Gran Tarajal and it's beautiful beach. You have to speak Spanish or at least try. Lovely to see the children running freely in the warm evenings and we even experienced a delightful birthday party

Well kept clean beach. Wide selection of restaurants along the front, cafes and shops in side streets. A pleasant atmosphere in the evening. If you come the beach then good spot. There didn't seem much else to attract people which was great it retained a very traditional feel. We ate at 3 different restaurants this week, all good. Go early if you want fresh fish!! Parked towards the east end of the town. Basically follow the road down to the large roundabout in centre and turn left to follow road one back from beach and keep going pass the theatre. Large supermarket in centre as well.
