Breathtaking view...you won't want to leave

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Oct 2023
Absolutely loved staying in one of the bungalows at Manulalu. The view from the room is breathtaking, taking in the volcano, forests, the traditional village of Bena right to the ocean. You are surrounded by birdsong and trees. The bungalow is spacious, and comfortable and the bathroom is massive. Breakfast is brought to the bungalow and dinner is a short drive away at Heaven's Door (delicious food and good atmosphere...also with an incredible view of the volcano).

Peaceful and secluded. Gorgeous boho vibes. Kids were excited at the loft bed in family bungalow. We used the mattress from the outdoor lounge for our third child but that was fine. However extra bedding wasn't provided. Bathroom was lovely, great views! Lovely balcony

Manulalu is definitely the best option in the Bajawa area. There are no hotels that can compete. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the spectacular view from the restaurant is like no other. Beware, cloudy days are common. The restaurant has good but limited breakfast and diner options. Unfortunately loud music was often played in the restaurant which doesn’t match the peaceful and serene surroundings.
The room we stayed in a 150 metres from the restaurant had a big comfortable bed. However it was quite damp. Mildew and some cobwebs covered the ceiling. The floor wasn’t mobbed and the last day we only had a cold shower. Also, bring earplugs because walls are very thin. So yes, it’s a good place to stay but standards are not met on every point. The Manulalu Bungalows 1 kilometer further down the road are pricier but cleaner and more comfortable.

Maybe one of the most beautiful places in the world! Great view on the rainforest and Mt. Inerie especially from the Restaurant. The Bungalow is very, very stylish inside and you have an outstanding outview as well from the terrace.
