the hotel was great, very clean (cleaned every day) with friendly staff. it was a different experience for my husband and i since this is our third visit to barbados. we enjoyed the kitesurfing and other water sports that the beach and wind provided. not a very wide choice of meals but then we prefer to go local which the restaurant also provided. when we needed a change in scenery and calm waters we drove to rockly beach which was just fifteen minutes away. shopping in bridgetown was about forty five minutes from our hotel.

This is our second year at this hotel as the hotel we have been coming to for several years is now closed. We were not disappointed service is great, as long as you live the Bajun way and respect that everything will happen in its own time. Which is great when on holiday main thing is to RELAX. Security is excellent, there is always someone around we have been questioned once or twice if we were guests, but they soon recognise your face. Maid service in rooms (Lisa) was excellent although cooking in rooms is not encouraged as only a microwave, but not a problem. Restaurant was a little sad this year as 4 of us had a meal one evening and they only had 1 bottle of wine left in the place!!! Limited amount of food on the menu and had to hunt for cutlery. But waitress was great and very apologetic. All in all this hotel is superb and we will be back next year.

Room Tip: If wanting an Ocean View, make sure to book Ocean Front.

pleasant hotel, lovely white sand beach. wind is mild, but continuing. this makes for kite surfing and nice waves. staff is genial and accommodating. restaurant has nice beach view, but menu a bit limited. location is a bit isolated and cabs or car rental is necessary to get around. nearby mini market is 5 minute walk away.

In general we very much liked this hotel and location. We wanted comfortable accommodations and waves. We got both. Had a suite across the street from the beach but that was no problem. Still had the ocean view and it was quiet. There could have been more light as one has problems to read. We had the upper floor with a cathedral ceiling so no fan or air conditioning in the living room but that was OK with us. The bedroom was with AC and the bed longwise.
One has to be closer to the bar for wifi to work but sitting around there was OK and you were never asked to have a drink if there.
The beach was very nice and we enjoyed watching the kite and wind surfers. Swimming there was fine and we were never disturbed by them. As we like lying directly on the beach, I can't say that getting a chaise longue or bed was difficult.
Surveillance was present but no one ever really checked if we belonged there or not. Upon arriving they mistakenly kept our car rental papers and didn't bother to return them to us. That caused us to try to get new papers which could have been avoided.
Having a car is definitely a plus and we had no trouble with that. Our best beaches were about a half an hour from the hotel, north of the airport at Fouls Bay(deserted and beautiful and safe to swim with nice waves), and Crane Beach, with waves for bouggie and body surfing; boards can be rented there.
There was nothing to do in the neighborhood, known to be one of the poorest but we never felt endangered. Every time we would ask directions we were informed well. The people are so very nice.
You should really go to Oistins yfor a supermarket as the mini ones near the hotel are not very good.
Eat in Champers, Tapas and Apasara and the fish market Fridays at Oistins

Room Tip: Not on ground floor., if you want wifi, close to the bar.

We have spent 11 nights at Silver Point this January, and we have had a great time. Upon arrival, we were very disappointed with our room (our "ocean view suite" was accross the street from the ocean, and had a parking view, no ocean in sight). We asked for a room changed, and they were able to give us an upgrade after two nights in an unbelievable ocean front room. Sounds fo the waves crashing down on the beach for our whole stay, which I enjoyed a lot.
The place is clean, with a mini kitchen (sink, coffee machine, fridge and freezer), and the service was very good.

Room Tip: Rooms accross the street are quieter, but not as nice and without ocean view.
