Rooms were spacious but do bring slippers because the floors weren't that clean. Waterpark was wonderful & they close at 5:00. Service wasn't that great even though I left tips sometimes. Staff wasn't attentive. I had better service in Mexico. They had old pitiful laundry machines there that ended up being broken while we were there. Food was good but very limited selection at the buffet. BBQ Park was a must. All the excursions outside the resort was great. We didn't have time to use any of the activities onsite. Construction wasn't a big problem but they need to offer better service at the restaurants. We didn't get any bar service while at the pools either. They shoud get lessons from Mexico. Walls were very thin also. Overall the kids enjoyed their vacation especially kids camp & the waterpark.

Room Tip: If you want to avoid construction noises, then stay in the 1100-1200 rooms.

My family just spent a week (July 21-28) at this property and had a wonderful week. I will start with the negatives. Yes there is construction going on with the elevator so this means lots of steps. The beach is small and its a two hour bus ride from the airport. However if you are a smart travelor you knew this before you made your reservation because you did the research.
You cannot find better all inclusive FAMILY resorts then Beaches. We have been to Negril smaller waterpark but bigger beach and Turks biggest waterpark and by far best beach!
Boscobel-We stayed in a walkout beach front room and I have to say for us this was perfect since we spent most of our day at the beach. Our room was cleaned daily and when we called to ask for something we always got it in a timely manner. The food was great we never had to wait for a table. You can make reservations but they only have 2 times either 6 or 8. Watersports were good the banana boat was working from 2 to 4 most days. They have a spa tea on Tuesday from 3 to 4. You can get a free mini neck/back rub or foot scrub and a 50 coupon which I did use and have to say it was very relaxing. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall this resort worked well for my family. It is also very close to many attractions. Don't be afraid to do things on your own and save money. We got a taxi right in front of the resort that took us to Dunns river falls for four people we gave him fifty for both ways. He came back right on time to pick us up. Then we paid the 20 per person to climb the fall. Go early morning like by ten and avoid cruise ship days. You can check cruise schedules nonline. We made some Jamaican friends at this resort and hope to come back soon!

The upgraded rooms are not worth the extra money because the balconies & patios have no privacy whatsoever. Also, the regular rooms have all been redone so they're nicer than the oceanfront mini suites. Most rooms have excellent views so don't waste your money.

The maid service is horrendous! We traveled with 26 people for a destination wedding there & everyone complained that their rooms were not serviced daily.

If you have any problems walking or with steps, this place is not for you.

However, I must say that the food & beverage service was a "10"! Compliments to all the chefs. The food was not only some of the best I've ever eaten in an all inclusive resort but the variety & service was commendable!!!!

Just came back from a week at this resort. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to do whatever is necessary to make your stay enjoyable. However, they can't do anything about the small beach and its proximity to the resort (resort is on a hill with the beach at the bottom). Due to the way the resort is built into the hillside, the views from the higher levels looking out over the ocean though are great. It's not like some resorts that are built on flat ground and the only time you see the ocean is when you are at the beach or in a room that is on a top floor. There is an elevator to get you down to the beach, but it is being repaired. In the meantime, you do have a bunch of stairs to climb! They claim the elevator will be done by the end of July, I would say it's probably more likely to be the end of August.

If you're not an "everyday at the beach" family and will probably spend more time at the pools and great waterpark, you'll like this resort. The waterpark is not your typical resort waterpark with slow slides that offer thrills only to those 5 and under. This has some really good slides that teens and adults will enjoy. It also has great areas for those that are younger. Close to the waterpark is the outdoor BBQ restaurant with hamburgers, jerk chicken, pizza and more. There is also a station for everyone to get unlimited ice cream, sodas and slushee drinks.

We really liked the food at the Venetian Italian restaurant. Arizona's was also good, but not as good as the Venetian...but the location right by the ocean was really nice. The breakfast was very good...get in Peter's line for Omelettes....amazing how fast he can cook them. Lunch at the Bayside main restaurant was just average at best. I would stick to the BBQ outdoor restaurant or catch Arizona's when it opens for lunch.

They had beverage service around the main pool which was nice so you didn't even have to get out of your chair if you didn't want to. There were also activities going on throughout the day. They have tennis, basketball, video games...there is plenty for families to do.

They are working on a new fitness center, but they do have a temporary one in place...just a few rooms they converted with free weights, treadmills, etc. Not perfect, but works.

The entire resort is kept very clean and the grounds are very well landscaped.

We golfed one day at the Sandals Golf Club and had a blast. They were having 50% off specials for family golf in the afternoons. We rented our clubs (decent Taylor Made sets). You have to get a caddy even when you get a cart, but we really enjoyed having the caddies and our teenage boys got a kick out if. We were surprised by how nice the course was. The greens are pretty slow, but the layout is challenging and scenic and the course was in nice condition.

The entertainment at night was pretty weak. They have a Sesame Street show everynight for the kids and it looked like they were really enjoying it.

There is a 2 hour ride to this resort so be prepared for that. We didn't go to Dunn's River Falls this time, but have done that before...you need to experience that at least once! We heard the catamaran tour (snorkeling, falls, sailing) was a lot of fun, so you might try that one too. We didn't do the Mystic Mountain (Bobsled, Zip line, Chair Lift)...at $100 plus per person we felt it was too expensive.

The Jamaicans truly make you feel welcome at the resort. If you want two appetizers, just ask! Two steaks instead of the one, just ask! They'll be more than happy to get it for you. We found this to be true throughout our entire stay.
