The owner was very responsive to questions and delivered all necessary information promptly before arrival at the property. We were even informed on the latest retail innovation in the village (a milk/bread/eggs vending machine).
The property was charming and all facilities worked accordingly. We liked that very much. Location is wonderful. Very nicely located for walks and bicycle tours (once you are over the first hill). Two pubs nearby, both with their own charm. Good food, friendly people.
Mobile phone reception is not very good...but that's a problem of the village, not of the owner. Wifi is available, but at a cost. A small point of improvement might be that that is made clear on the airbnb site.
All in all, we had a very nice holiday.

Beautiful chapel conversion. Good value & well set up. Good village location with a couple of pubs serving good food. Would recommend & consider staying again.
We had the good fortune to select this delightful converted chapel as our base for a week's holiday in the beautiful Peak District. It was everything we could have hoped for and more! Equipped to the standard of a home from home and furnished with a wonderfully eclectic mix of fixtures and fittings perfectly in keeping with the age and unique character of the property, it was a fabulous place to stay in the quintessentially beautiful village of Brassington. It was a real wrench to drag ourselves away and back to reality at the end of the week. I can honestly say I was totally smitten with the Peak District and Chapel Cottage in particular. Our profound thanks to the owner, Mr David Mossman, for such a fantastic and unforgettable holiday and all the extremely helpful advice he provided us with prior to our stay.

We were with a group of friends attending a party in Chesterfield. Chapel House was ideal for us. It was clean, well equipped, comfortable and in a very beautiful and peaceful setting. We enjoyed walking around the village, visiting the very pleasant pub The Miner's Arms and walking on the hillside behind the chapel.

We have just returned from our third visit in the last ten months to this delightful property which is so comfortable, well equipped and full of character. Set in a perfect location for exploring the Derbyshire countryside and with in easy reach of Alton Towers for the more adventurous. We cannot wait to return for another relaxing stay.
