Skied all day in Corvatsch area and the thing to do is to go and visit Freddie, the owner and grillmaster if the place. (he also runs the golf club restaurant in Samedan, during summer).
The vegi soup was a bit of a nothing, but the Fleischkase wit salad and the Bratwurst with salad were great, my daughter, aged 15 had 2 in totsl, and the are Freddie supersize!
The atmosphere was stunning and the extension of the 2nd room is great.
Go there for meals and the feeling of a Kuhstall (cow stable)

Thank Anthony H

I had dinner there with friends. We decided to hike up, 30 minutes up the mountain uphill following little lanterns. They also offer other options to get there. We were the first guests to arrive and were greeted by the owners. The atmosphere is phenomenal. Cute little rooms. The food was great, a menu of 4 courses. We had bruschetta, a sole fish appetizer followed by steak. Dessert was cheese followed by yogurt with fruit. Excellent meal. Plenty of beverage choices. The meals are selected daily by the chef so there is no menu. Still great food. Requires reservations. They also offered additional food that they made extra. When we left for our easier hike down, the owners thanked us again.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and open for lunch and dinner. We arrived after 2pm for lunch, the place was empty. We ordered cold cuts to share as a starter which came very quickly but our main courses took forever. The main courses were very disappointing and not hot. They might have closed the kitchen before we arrived to explain why it took so long. It is pricey for a mountain lunch.

Freddie Zwimpfer and is do a great job of serving wonderful food in this little cow shed close on the slopes under Furtschellas-cable car.
At night a 30 min walk from the parking will bring you into a world apart. The menu is always deliciously composed, the wine carefully selected (from value for money to true liquid sins).
During the day the terrasse carved-out of the snow allows a wind-protected sun bath while enjoying the food. The secret of the good food seem to be the quality of the ingredients and the self limitation to those foods that can be prepared well under the restrictions of a small kitchen.

Careful: Cigar Afficionados will most probably not be alone at noon. Freddie also has a selection of cigars available. So if you mind the smoke of a good cuban cigar, maybe not your place.

Quality is not inexpensive. Oh well.

First time I encountered the place was 3 years ago after Friday night skiing on Corvatsch. Wonderful place. Great food and wines but get ready for a hefty bill.
Now, it is our place to have après ski drinks. And the place is always full.

Thank kpkam
