Stayed here for one night on a tour around the Engadine. Hotel was very expensive (exchange rate was eye watering). Room was very large but with very dated fittings (1970's). Large bathroom. Public areas lovely and the owner spoke perfect English.
Restaurant had absolutely no atmosphere, with no background music at all. Would have liked the fixed price menu but no-one told us it was for half board only and available in a different restaurant By the time we discovered this it was too late. Wifi connection only available in public rooms and very slow. We weren't charged but were given a receipt with a charge on it, so it's possible it isn't free in the winter.
There are also no lifts and the resort is quite high. We found it a bit of a struggle going down 3flights of stairs with luggage (or rather coming up them!).
I was disappointed overall with Pontresina; there were few restaurants open and it's lost a great deal of its alpine charm. Lower Engadine valley much, much better.
