Nothing stale about it,all fresh

Where in the globe,u will get fresh air,fresh vegetables grown in the garden in front of u,milk from in house cattles,flowers from the garden spread over 17 acres the resort managed by a lady prathiba Singh has everything plus above it closer to nature, everything grown inside the premises ,delicious food tastefully done cottages, beautiful lawns in house horses, cows,a bonfire in the evening ad tranquillity. Wonderful thanks prathiba for the wonderful hospitality

Wonderful relaxing experience amidst amazing scenery & warmth of the hosts.

It turned out to be so much better than I had expected. Colonel’s Resort is a not to miss experience with the amazing property that encompasses the mountains, the warmth and special attention of the hosts.
Everything is so carefully attended to, (including the food) you feel you’re their personally invited guests.
The horses and the gorgeous welcoming dog Dash add to the hospitality and peace of the space.
Definitely a home away from home.

Restorative, blissful stay!

Go there! We visited The Colonel's Resort within six months and found it even more enchanting, the Colonel and his family even more welcoming, the place even more soothing and beautiful. Everything just clicks into place in a magical way. And the result is that you, the traveler, feel restored to good health, peace of mind, creative thinking, goodwill for all humankind! This is its special, secret charm that's over and above the numerous factors mentioned below: The hospitality and food and walks and drives that the family take you on are memorable. This family has a natural proclivity for caring, they are good people, to which they have added a sure professional touch to see that everything is just right. Staff is helpful, and remember your requests! Horses graze on the lawn beyond your room, adding a touch of gentle, bucolic charm. They light bonfires at night, where all the guest gather, as in an open air family room. Bir itself offers many delights besides its famed paragliding: mountain walks and monasteries, trips to nearby temples, the views, the views, the views! We'll be visiting often. Do yourself a favour, and go there.

Room tip: Rooms with a view of the valley have a charm that calms. But rooms with orchard views are superb for a quiet stay. Either way, you win.

Beautiful gardens, lovely room & excellent dinner

I spent a very comfortable night at this lovely resort. Located in a garden full of trees and flowers and birds it is a respite from the hustle and bustle of the village.

I was put in a beautiful, light filled room with big windows facing mountains and hills and garden in 2 directions. Gauze screens allowed me to keep the windows wide open and enjoy the fresh air. In the morning I woke to the sound of bird calls.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful, organizing tandem paragliding for me on the afternoon I arrived. What an amazing way to spend the late afternoon! Floating down from high above for about 45 mins, enjoying a bird’s eye view for miles around.

The gracious owner invited me to join him and his good friend at his table for dinner. Excellent food and interesting conversation made for a wonderful end to an amazing day!

Most wonderful stay

This place is pure bliss. I took valley view rooms on first floor. You can see the sky changing colours from the bed. Rooms are large with all amenities. Clean washrooms. But the best part is the food. His chef is MR Dogra, am sure he has magic fingers. Wonderful food, great ambience. Morning we went for a walk with the colonel. Bir is a pristine beautiful village. You must visit and stay here.
