Me and my family stayed here during our summer holliday in germany!
We found the hotel charming and IT was Well worth the money
The rooms had Windows you could open all the way up! The hotel had no elevator, so i dont recomend this hotel If you need an elevator!
The had a vending machine in the hall.. you could buy chocolate, nuts, beverages and so on..
Breakfast was Very Nice
IT took us about 5 minutes to walk down to mosel!
The hotel is lokated 50 metres from the sesselbahn!

The staff in the reception i give My best recomendations.. Very polite, good english skills and alway smiling at you!
I will definetly Stay at holl again!

The receptionist was very unfriendly and arrogant at first. No possibility to park our 9 bikes for 15 min outside the hotel. We should pay 3 euro for one bike to park in the garage and we couldn´t use the garage after 6pm.
The beds in the 4-bedroom was 2 of the bed not meant to sleep on, it was more for a sitting. The beds was very uncomfortable!!!! Really a very bad offer from the hotel Holl.

In the morning was we not able to take with us our hand/and small backpack to the restaurant area.Just unbelievable!!!

Very noisy outside the rooms whom had window to the street, 4 a,clock in morning was the dustpincar coming and woke up all sleeping guest!

I will not recommend anybody to this unfriendly hotel.

Room Tip: dont choose this hotel

We are unfriendly? You wanted a paid service for free, the save garage. Anyone who wants to park safe, must pay for Safety, all bikers make this, only cyclists think they can have everything for free. 3 EUR per bike was too much invested? Ridiculous.
For breakfast, you could not bring your huge backpacks, because cyclists mostly want to take something from the breakfast, without paying it, we make this experience every time.
We have experienced your misconduct in the evening, this is the reason, why we did not want let other guests without breakfast.
Live and let live… A guest still has to pay for services, otherwise he is a friend or no longer welcome.

The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is a nice spread. The staff at this hotel is very nice, but not very accommodating. I asked to be moved to a back room due to the traffic noise, but was not given a reason as to why it could not be done except that "it is not possible." I also asked if we could leave the car an extra hour so that we could go for a cycle ride, and was told no, even though new guests are not able to check in until 3-5.
The hotel is on the main street and it is very noisy on the front of the hotel with traffic and people. The hotel caters to motorcycles, so you get the noise from the bikes. The hotel is especially noisy at 2 in the morning, when the group of hotel guests returned from the bars. Also, both nights the large group stopped for one last cigarette right outside our window before heading up to their rooms at that early hour. We were awakened both nights at 2:30 in the morning.

Room Tip: ask for a room off the street.

The good thing about this hotel is it's location, just a short walk from the city centre. They advertise with free parking, but we had to pay 10€. The room was clean and OK, the bathroom was very small.
The breakfast was unimpressing, poor selection of bread and drinks.

Overall, I don't think you get what you pay for at this hotel. Since the standard is so low, it should have been cheaper.

We met in Cochem for a family reunion. We picked the "Pfingst" weekend, which of course made hotels a little more expensive and a bit harder to book.
I would have liked to give this family run business a higher rating, however there were a few quirks. I do realize accommodating a group of 10 is not always easy.

Positive: The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Easy and quick check in and out. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. Breakfast was typical german with a selection of cheese, cold cuts, jam, bread, cereal, fruits and Joghurt. The fresh rolls were really tasty. It is best to come early, otherwise a lot has gone. Might get a little monotone, if you stay for a long time. Drinks were coffee, tea, water and orange juice. We really did enjoy breakfast. The rooms are a comfortable size.

Negative: During hot weather, the rooms heat up and you can't really cool it, even with open windows. There is a lot of traffic outside, so not good for light sleepers but otherwise ok. We felt like we paid too much. During Pfingsten it was 105 Euros per night. There are no amenities available (shampoo and soap in big squeezable bottle, which ran out after day 3), otherwise toothbrush, ear plugs in a vending machine. This might be normal for Europe though. Although the bed was made and the floor towel was neatly folded daily, the trash was not removed.

The walls are plastered with old records, it looked alright but I couldn't read or see where the theme came from.

I don't think I would stay here again, although it was still a somewhat pleasant stay
