We didn't stay at the hotel but had lunch outside instead. The service is friendly, swift and they serve a very decent lunch for a decent price. Good place to sit on the terrace as well in the side street.

This hotel is very nice, but could do with some tlc in the rooms, as they are a little "lived in". However, the hotel is on the Main Street so very easy to find. Parking for the motorcycle was interesting as we had to slot it in a small space at the rear of the hotel, and it is a big bike! The room was spacious and the bathroom large, with a bath (although marked so not inviting) and a sauna attached! The bed was very comfy although only one pillow which was not very supportive. A big plus was proper glasses and tissues in the bathroom. Free wifi is available but did not work so well in our room. We ate at the restaurant and the food and the service were very good. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would use this hotel again.

My whole life I've been coming to Sauerland. My father recommended this place to me.
On the ground there is nice pub. You can have a drink or have meal at a very great price. There are better places to eat in the neighborhood but at that price point I don't think anyone can complain. When we climbed the stairs we saw a lot of the rooms, since they were cleaning them and the doors were open. The other rooms were more modern and looked a bit cleaner. We got an old room, but massive, double room. It needed a bit of renovation. But it had it's own big bathroom and a free sauna. I think they neglect the room since it has a sauna. Very good value for the price!

Room Tip: ask for the one with the sauna

It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel! It is an old building from 1691 and has 14 rooms. Our room was really big with a nice bathroom and had a distinct character. You felt that you were in an old house, but the bed and bathroom were really modern and nice The hotel is covered with slate, not only the roof, but also the top part of the outside wall. The slates are laid in beautiful patterns. A lot of the houses in town are like that. Very nice town, with beautiful fountains everywhere.
The restaurant has a really nice old atmosphere with old beams and cut glass windows. Very cosy and very good food for moderate prices. The owner and staff are very welcoming people.
I can absolutely recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: We had room 25, which was at the top floor and a pretty large room.

Spent a weekend at Stoffels, using it as 'base camp' for some quality riding with my son. (Motorcycles).
Got a good deal on the room up front and when we arrived everything was as expected. Neat and tidy, well sorted and cumfy.
The bed were fine and the meals/drinks were exactly what one needs after a long and still rather chilly ride.
If there is anything to nag about: the wifi doesn't work everywhere, but tht's about it. I would go there again any day of the week
