Really great place for a vacation. Right on the seafront, gym, spa, wellness centre and pamper centre, wonderful food choices for breakfast with lots of interesting fishy bits and wellness drinks, for lunch, tea time and evening dinner, also a great choice at the salad bar, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacey, bright, well laid out, tea / coffee tray, free internet access, parking in yard for bikes and cars. While you park or pack the car, kids can play in a big well equipped playroom accessible from the yard. Free baby listening service from rooms to bar / dining room. Place very much recommended.

Room Tip: If you love a big roomy shower, ask for a wet cell walk in shower.

Rooms are nice and clean and offer all the amenities a traveller is looking for. Beach view rooms have a great view and a small balcony. Bathroom offers separate toilet and shower. Inroom safe. Wifi for guests. Price is more on the higher side in peak season. Service for in-house and walk-in guests is friendly but it takes too much time until food is served or until the food is completely served (we had to ask for the risotto to be served for the main dish, meat got almost cold during that). We stayed in the restaurant adjacent to the bar, not in the N'ney which is their gourmet restaurant. Some waiters only bring food and drinks and some also can take orders. Outdoor pools are large and you can take a good swim. The Indoor pool with the whirlpool look a bit old fashioned and is lacking some atmosphere. I high season they only offer rooms on short notice and you have to book it with breakfast and dinner then.

Room Tip: rooms to the beach offer the best view.

norderney truly misses a big opportunity. nature has blessed it with beautiful beaches, with the new motorway from the rhine ruhr area you reach the ferry in just over 2.5 hours. then your vacation or weekend begins.
now... thats nature. first class hotels are rare on the island.by majority hotels are tragic, standard 80's and unchanged since then. now georgshoehe is probably top 3 on the island.
Phantastic wellness area ( 4000 qm or so), newest standards, like 6 saunas with different temperaturezones, most of them with seaview (but no worries - can#t look in from the outside). heated pools, very modern furniture.
rooms: we booked a modern premium room, and the room was great, modern bathroom, spacious, small balcony and stylish. (careful ! the old standard rooms look awful, 80's pastelcolors etc.)
where the hotel is not to its 4*Superior standard is
- booking : the owner reserves the right to reject bookings under 1 week
- towels : linited to 2 towels per person, not really comfy if u take a day of wellness
- restaurant: the obligatory halfboard is not too bad, but taking 3 € supplement for any change of sidedishes is just ridiculous (when considering we paid 200 € for room plus 25€ each for halfboard
- wellness opening times change daily, and on weekends close earlies than during the week. sorry, when i am vacation i do not care whether its weekend....
- an apple spritzer of 0.4 for 4.90€ in the wellness area is a bit heavy also...
