We took the cable car up to the top of the Rauschberg, when staying in Ruhpolding. It was a very hot day and there were long queues to get on the cable car ( first return trip is free with the Xtra card) It was very warm in the room leading in to the cable car, but worth the wait. Thankfully, the queues were far fewer on our way down. There are walks on the top, but not as good as on the other mountain, accessed by the chair lift. A cafe is at the top, expensive, but good!

We had to wait quite a while at the bottom to get on the cable car and it was quite cramped. From the bottom it looked quite daunting but it was a smooth ride. The views are worth the ride. Fantastic! Loved Adams Hand and watching the hand gliders. A lovely bar at the top. One way the view was flat out to Chiemsee and the other, mountains, as far as the eye can see. Amazing.

Quick and well organised single Cabin lift, but small (12 - 15 persons). Good cafe at summit and nice walks but view at summit of lift restricted to 180 degrees. Nice walks to it along river from Ruhpolding.

We spent a relaxing morning at the top after riding up the cable car. The bus from town and the cable car were both included with our Chiemgau Karte. There is a round walk around the top with several play spots for kids. We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant before riding back down.

Friendly ride up and down. Lots of facilities at the top including a restaurant, walks are also available around the summit and the summit cross is a must just to touch and look out over the mountain tops. And yes the toilets facilities are fine.

We took the gondola up the mountain and hiked down. Great options for trails and easy to navigate. This was a great experience, spending a couple of hours trekking down the mountain with fantastic views. We would do this again.
The place we stayed at provided us with a free pass, but regardless we would do this again if in the area.

We took the first gondola up at 9:15. It was free with our visitor summer card. I think it would have been 20Euros each return.
We hiked for 2 hours at the top on a lovely sunny day so the views were great. The sculptures added interest and there were great play areas for kids. The path to the top was challenging at times but gave great views of the valley below and the mountains all around. We took the gondola back down at 12, so only needed a half day for this activity. It is a good spot to watch people hang and paraglide but the wind wasn't right when we were there.
