Comfortable little hotel in a good location right by Neckarbrucke. Also near the station too, but you can park a car in the small hotel car park for a small daily fee. The hotel is smart, clean and tidy. Staff very efficient as you would expect, speak good english and generally very helpful. Rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, fairly modern. We had a double on the second floor, overlooking Uhlandstrasse and we could see the bridge from our window. The windows open fully and are relatively low, which was fine by us, but would never be allowed in the UK! Bathroom had two sinks, which was handy and a decent shower, but it did take 5 minutes to warm up. There was lots of storage space in the room, which was quite spacious and the bed was comfortable. We were given two single duvets for a double bed, which was a bit odd and not enough pillows or towels when we arrived. There was a heatwave whilst we were there and the room wasn't air conditioned, or if it was we didn't notice it working! We had a fan in our room and it just made it bearable on the hottest night of our stay. We couldn't really leave the two windows open either, because the main road was just below. We didn't use many of the facilities at the hotel, except Ludwigs, the restaurant attached to the hotel. It was perfectly nice and seemed reasonable priced. The breakfast, which was included, was also very nice. A hot and cold buffet, with english style as well as continental, fresh bread, coffee and juices. There was no menu or additional choice on offer, which didn't matter to us, because what was provided was comprehensive enough and you could basically eat as much as you wanted. So all in all you get reasonable value for money here, it's not cheap, but we didn't really have any complaints, except perhaps the air conditioning situation in our room. Oh and there is free wi-fi, but you have to ask for a code.

Room Tip: One with air con if you go in the hotter summer months.

The new rooms at the Hotel Krone are very stylish with neat lines and a minimalist décor, roomy with all the usual facilities. Our only quibble is the large shower space in the bathroom (which is a walk-in with no hub to step over) is bigger than the shower curtain and unless you are careful the shower can spray over the floor. Breakfast was plentiful and served in a pleasant separate room on the ground floor. The staff all speak English and the reception staff were very helpful in doing extra tasks for us to clear up problems we had encountered in a car mishap. A little on the expensive side.

Just a block from the railroad station, this hotel combines convenience with friendly, comfortable atmosphere. We stayed here on our first night in Europe (with car) and again one week later arriving/departing by train. Rooms in front section are older but comfortable. Ask for the newer rooms in the back for more space. Breakfast was excellent, desk staff friendly. Right across from Tourist Bureau and scenic riverfront, steps from old center with numerous restaurants and shops.

Room Tip: Select larger rooms in back (west wing)

Our 4th stay in Tubingen and first in this hotel - which we would visit again. Location (walking distance from train and bus station and totally central), reception, waiting staff and food all excellent.
Given room at back of hotel as street works being carried out - which was thoughtful. The room was very large and spacious but - unbelievable really - no suitable work place for using a laptop which was hard to balance on the bureau (business travellers note).
We were there over a holiday weekend which perhaps explained why some of the room cleaning service wasn't carried out as thoroughly as during the week - though am sure that had we drawn attention to this, all would have been resolved.
Also - if you are light sensitive - curtains don't fully block outside lighting. (take eye mask)
All that said, would definitely go back. Breakfast was excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from street as noise could be an issue

Went here for business and was very happy with the hotel choice. The rooms were big and clean. The bathroom was great with a giant tub and separate wonderful shower.

Apparently there are some updated rooms and some very old fashioned rooms. I can't say anything about the old rooms because mine seemed freshly updated.

This is a great spot in Tuebingen--you're very close to the town center with lots of fun shops

Room Tip: Make sure ask for an updated toom
