Great Hotel, very good service. large rooms, very clean. ask for the back yard view rooms- more quiet.
Good restaurant and nice lobby.
Nice small pool and Gym.
Too expensive breakfast, better options nearby.
Better price over weekend.

The hotel itself is good, with a small but friendly bar, restaurant, good room service menu and excellent breakfast buffet.

The only downside is it's location pretty far from anywhere. There is certainly nothing within walking distance so a car or taxis are required for anything away from the hotel.

Dear Drakesy,

thank you very much for your positive comment.

There is not much we can do about the location but I can tell you that we are going to open our outside terrace very soon as of 20st April 2017 where you will be able to then enjoy breakfast as well as lunch and dinner or just have a cup of coffee or so, just enjoy!
;-)

Looking forward to see you back soon here at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Karlsruhe,

kind regards

I stayed here for 5 nights when I traveled to Ettlingen for business. (Second time in this hotel, stayed here a couple of years ago on a private visit). Seems like it has gone through some renovations since the last time I was here. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. They have a decent swimming pool, functional fitness area and a very good sauna. Breakfast is very good and felt fresh. Note that there is really nothing nearby to eat out or for any recreation. If you don't like the food in the hotel's restaurant you will have to travel a bit far to get anything (Karlsruhe city centre is about €20 by taxi. and Ettlingen about €12) ! However, the restaurant is good and they also have a reasonably large room service menu (which I have not tried).

Dear Paranthagan,

thank you very much for having stayed here with us and for you positive review.

I would just like to point out that we are very soon going to open our restaurant terrace (as of 24th April 2017) where you will then be able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner or just a nice cup of coffee or soda, just as you like.

Have a great spring and summer,

I stayed here because of traveling from the US on business. This is not a 5 star hotel, but you do get 5 star service. The front desk people are great. They have a small gym along with an indoor pool and a sauna. There was a waiter in the restaurant at dinner who accommodated my every need. The food is good, but NOT cheap. I will definitely stay here the next time that my company sends me to Ettlingen.

Dear Scotte35125,

WOW, you loved this hotel and we loved your review! ;-)

Next time your company sends you to Ettlingen, our restaurant terrace will most probably be open (as of 24th April 2017) so that you will be able to have a nice breakfast, lunch or dinner there in a very relaxing atmosphere.

We are very proud of having made you so happy and will try to even get 6 stars from you next time,

kind regards

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel as I like it.

It is out of teh town of Ettlingen so you either need a car or are prepared to eat in the hotel. I was in Germany for business and ate in the hotel every evening.

The food is good but is quite expensive compared to the resturants in Ettlingen center.

The hotel has a decent Gym, pool and sauna. It could do with a few heavier free weights (max is 5kg) :/ Butthe weights machine and cardio equiptment is good.

The sauna is excellent.

Beds are good and the hotel is quiet at night. Last night I had room service and just so everyone is aware it is a 2.5 euro charge dfor this which I think is fair.

The staff are all very helpful and really nice and all speak English.

The hotel is easily accesible for the disabled as there is no steps into the reception. The hotel has lifts to the upper floors.
