A gem of a visit. We spent the whole day in the campus - and took in an informative English speaking tour. The buildings designed by world renowned architects are a feast for the eyes. We walked back to Foundation Beyeler through vineyards and villages - the 24 stop route.

This museum can be for everyone. The main house is like a glorified IKEA, yes. Take that for what it is. But for more design & architecture enthusiasts, the other houses are the draw. The SANAA warehouse, the Frank Gehry, Tadao Ando and the Zaha Hadid firehouse were amazing structures to visit.

For anyone with more than a passing interest in furniture design or design in general, this is a worthy visit. There are a number of things to see, so allocate at least half a day.

Each building or facility is designed by a famous architect and these are good works in their own right. Recommended.

there are 3 places to visit on the VITRA campus ; the interior design house , the museum in the GHERY building and the storage exposition . The first is a free admission and has a great restaurant/ coffe shop ; the museum + storage exhibition are on 1 ticket admission . ( BASEL 50% card valid ).
All three a must see !
