Stayed for five nights as part of an all inclusive 'Heart of Germany' tour with Shearings in October. Room was clean and adequately furnished with one pillow on bed and no mattress/pillow protective covers. I obtained more pillows from receptionist. No kettle or tea making facilities in bedroom. Shower room was clean and modern with hairdryer. Towels were cheap, thin and small. TV was an old small portable with only one American channel CNBC. WiFi was intermittent, best between 12midnight and 6am!
Dining was in a large canteen with self service for all meals. My wife is a vegetarian and this is the worst hotel for food choice she has stayed in. When food items ran out staff were slow to replenish them. Cheap cuts of meat and fish were served which in many cases were not cooked very well and were invariably cold. If you like deserts you will be disappointed as the only offerings were cold rice pudding ( 1st night ) and white gloop and cherry sauce for the rest of the week. Included drinks were in the canteen until 8.30pm after which time most people went to bed. Breakfast choice was the same each day and your packed lunch you made yourself from the breakfast servery i.e.. rolls and fruit in a supplied bag.
In contrast the overnight hotel in Belgium (Novotel) was excellent.More
