Went To joshimath lot of times, its a mid destination for Badrinath ji, Auli, Tungnath Ji and various other places. There are lot of options of Hotels to choose from, in fact GMVN offers wonderful accommodation in Joshimath.

Its godly place where kedarnath god comes down during winter .
Place is very serene and nice.snowfall starts November till February

We visited in Nov 2020, the Narasingh temple in Joshimath. The temple has idol of Narashima Swamy and Lakshmi temple. Lord Badrinath is worshipped here for 6months, when the temples closes on the hill. The temple has been redone and is a must visit. The place is quiet and peaceful. There are hotels around, if you like to stay.
