My husband and I stayed in this property in September and while I am late posting my review it is a property that I must let you know about.
Let me start by saying this Villa is in a very remote location so no strolling for groceries etc and a car is essential. However that is the only downside and really is that a downside? This villa is special. It is beautiful, with plenty of rooms and space, such as a spacious living area and kitchen. Francesca and Jeanette are wonderful hosts and have thought of everything with the house fully equipped with everything one needs. The outside of the property is equally beautiful with a large pool, barbecue area, lawn and outside eating area. I highly recommend this property, an ideal place to relax and enjoy the wonderful views and beautiful surrounding area and little villages. It is also an ideal base to visit Rome as the train station is only a fifteen minute drive and the train journey 40m with lots of departure times.
Stay at this property as you won’t be disappointed with the Villa Meridolio or the wonderful hosts Francesco and Jeanette.
I will most definitely be back at some stage.
I cannot recommend enough! It's quiet and peaceful, spectacular views and a simply stunning house!
The owners made us so welcome and we're happy to answer any questions we had before and during our week!
It is astounding and was the best hokiday we have had! Absolutely gorgeous x thank you for an amazing time guys x it was unforgettable x
Location : peaceful area with magnificent views of the surrounding hills and countryside. Can be difficult to find due to the winding lanes leading to it, just phone the owners and they will direct you. Nearest town Poggio Mirteto 10 minutes drive. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, the large supermarket [Emmi] has everything self caterers need it also has drums of white and red local wine, delicious, and only 1 euro 60 a litre.
Villa Meridolio : WOW, elegant and rustic, beautiful gardens, outdoor barbeque, pool area at the rear, pool cleaned early morning by owner, everything well maintained.
Bedrooms: spacious, beds comfortable, lots of drawers and wardrobe space.
Bathrooms : spacious, great showers, bath in one bathroom, two sinks in each bathroom, hairdryers powerful, plenty of towels.
Laundry room : all facilities.
Dining kitchen : has every piece of cooking equipment known to man, large fridge freezer with ice compartment [and ice provided], 2 cookers, 2 sinks, dishwasher, etc, etc.
Lounge : enormous, TV, music centre, games, books, maps and information leaflets of places to visit in the area. Outside the lounge there is a large dining terrace balcony, the sunset views from here are amazing.
Tip : Mosquitos can be a problem [ in Rome also ] so use sprays constantly to avoid bights.
Overview : This villa has all the added touches that make you feel at home instantly, it was an unforgettable experience, well done Jeannette and Francesco [ owners ].
