My girlfriend and I recently spent two nights at the O'Cub Hotel as part of a self guided cycling tour. The hotel was booked as part of the package. The reception is at the ground level of the hotel. When we first checked in the fellow at the front desk was very polite, helpful and said if we needed anything just to let him know. Our room was up on the third floor and had a lovely view of the river. The room was modern and colourful. Our room had the usual items, flat screen tv, stocked mini-bar, desk, etc. We also had a nice balcony with a table and a couple of chairs that faced the river. The bed was comfortable and the room was fine for the two of us. Breakfast is provided in a room on the top floor of the hotel where there is also a lovely outside patio area that looks over the river. The continental breakfast was fine with a reasonable section of offerings, juices and coffee. The next afternoon I went down to the lobby as I had some questions but no one was there. There was another fellow waiting to check in and he indicated he'd been waiting about 20 minutes already and no one had showed up. He was desperate to get checked in as he'd been riding for a couple of days and wanted nothing more than a hot shower...More
