“This apartment is a real gem with an excellent location and great views of the port.”

This was our fourth visit and it won't be our last! We think the apartment is a real bargain considering its facilities and harbour front location. It's recently been decorated and refurbished with lovely contemporary furniture. The sofa bed is brand new and pulls out into a really comfortable fully sprung double bed. The bunk beds are full size single beds. Its really well equiped and has a lovely balcony with a bistro table that seats four. We really like the fact that the apartment is at the end of the row and when you are on the balcony there's non-one looking at you from behind. Also there's no apartment above you. Eating breakfast in the morning sun whilst watching the port wake up is smashing. There is direct access to the private pool and whilst we were there the week before Easter we saw the pool man work on it everyday for a week to get it ready for the season. The pool itself and the sunbathing areas are spotless. The water's tested every morning and there's always a lifeguard on duty.

Cap d'Agde is family friendly and also has great nightlife with some really good bars and restaurants. Boat taxis take you across the harbour to the funpark, waterpark and casino if you don't fancy the walk. There are beaches all within a short walking distance and you can hire sunbeds at differently themed beach bars. Its great not having to worry about how to get here there and everywhere, you can just stoll.

We've flown into Beziers, Carcassonne and Montpellier. Beziers is brilliant. You can land, pick up your hire car or jump in a taxi and be at the apartment within the hour. Montpellier is an hour away and Carcassone is about 1 hour 15 mins. There are big supermarkets at Agde but you can stock up on local produce in Cap d'Age if you don't want to eat out all of the time. The main Cap d'Agde bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the apartment. Agde has a railway station. You only pay for parking in July and August and so we have parked at the the back of the museum, in the park, for free.

The letting agents are a lovely bunch of people and the owners are English. They are really helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them and their office is only a few hundred yards from the apartment. Whether you go in or out of the main summer season, we think it's a great place for a holiday and the apartment is a real find.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 for a stay in July 2012

Discovered this gem while "popping" over from the UK. What is fantastic everything -the LOCATION - the apartment overlooks a brill always clean pool [with own security guard to ensure no riff raff :-) ] and overlooks the esplanade and harbor so fab views and great restaurants and shops at your doorstep- literally. SURROUNDINGS Drive in any direction and you have ancient antique laden towns or the modern likes of Montpelier. BEACHES - rent a private spot at one of the beach restaurants - posh as APARTMENT Inside you have modern & comfortable furniture all tastefully decorated and new. Also had an elevator. Sleeps 4 easy, we had two teenagers in the bunks and we had the comfy pull out - slept like a log. [Great water park for the kids] Best thing in the morning was breakfast on the balcony with all the market foods - make sure you go to the markets! An added bonus - real estate manager Cathryn and her team who speak English - a god send!!! TARIFF For central location and all the add ons - well worth it and recommended.
