The movie in the visitors centre is nice and interesting, but they forgot one element in it: to explain how the locks work. There was a boat, nut it was to enter the locks only three hours later, so we figured it all out by ourselves.

Amazing place. Great views. VERY RUDE STAFF IN BAR. BARMAN WITH BLUE HAIR. Shockingly rude. Should not be customer facing.

The nine locks of Fonseranes are located in the surroundings of Beziers, a city in Occitanie Region, in the South of France. We came here twice in the last year. One of them, I came here with my 5 years old daughter, and she enjoy a lot walking in the surroundings, playing, eating in Le 9 restaurant, and catching a boat to sail in the 9 locks to overcome some meters of unevenness. Really it is a very interesting experience: seeing as locks are open and close, and then the boat goes to the next lock. Also, in the surroundings of the nine locks, there is a very nice park, where you can walk, go by bicycle, or only relax. Very nice place to come with children and learn about this work of Engineering.

Difficult to find with a car. Car park very expensive 7 Euros regardless of how long you stay. Found out too late if you pay to park there your ticket gives you an hours free parking in the centre of Beziers. Interesting to see the locks but unless you go on a boat trip not much else to do.
