Second floor apartment clean & spacious. Below is the boulangerie - very good indeed.
Parking on the road outside - safe and always available which is useful in Vannes.
where spaces can be hard to find.
Wifi throughout worked great.
Location is excellent only a 10 minute walk to the harbour where all the shops and restaurants can be found.

Great two weeks in Vannes an apartment above a bakery with an excellent butcher shop next door and fresh fishmonger 100metres away. Carrefour 300 metres. The apartments terrace is too narrow to fit a chair on. Cooking utensils were limited and it would have been nice to have a larger saucepan and frypan to be able to cook the wonderful assortment of seafood. Also a top bedsheet would have been good. The walk from the apartment and to downtown and tourist office takes 15 mins . Bus services are good and inexpensive meaning you can visit lots of other towns and places. The people were friendly and we had a great stay.
Nice apartment in a quiet residential area a 15 minute walk to the central tourist centre of Vannes. Above a bakery, next to a butchers, across the road from a pharmacy and a fish stall (three days a week). A supermarket at the end of the road, 2 to 3 minutes. Plenty of parking outside on the road, near the apartment. A good place from which to explore this area.
Let's start with what makes this apartment shine, which is location, location, location. It is 10 minutes' walk from the marina and old town. It is on top of a bakery, with a fish shop and butcher within 50m and a Carrefour supermarket 250m away. Breakfast of warm pastries and baguette and the ability to pop out mid-dinner for a warm baguette to mop up some sauce was a real delight
The apartment itself was clean, nicely decorated and big enough for two. The internet supplied for free was both fast enough for me and reliable. I wanted an apartment rather than a hotel to do some cooking with quality fresh French produce. This was aided by the shops nearby and the amazing market in the old town on Wednesday and Saturday. It was slightly hindered by the culinary equipment. A decent large cooks' knife, a pot big enough to cook a live crab, a fish slice to lift food from a frying pan and a sieve capable of draining rice would have been much appreciated.
The owner was there to welcome us and show us what was what. His friendly, helpful attitude was really nice.
A watch point is that our let ran from Sunday to Sunday and we didn't arrive until mid-afternoon. Food shopping in Vannes ceases at 13:00 on Sunday and doesn't fully recover until Tuesday morning (but the bakery and supermarket were open Monday). We searched for 2 hours for a few basics like milk and butter, but in vain. A small bottle of milk and a little pat of butter in the fridge would have been very much appreciated. However, we were able to get a really nice cheap meal 10 minutes' walk away by the marina later in the evening.
