My Husband and I stayed here last week for an overnight stay, before attending a work event nearby. The room had been booked for a few weeks and we arrived about 7pm. The receptionist booked us in and said that we had a double smoking room! Neither of us smoke and we asked if there was a different room available. We were told that all the other rooms were full. I was really surprised that smoking is still allowed in hotel rooms. The room stank a stale smoke and so did we and our belongings by the end of a nights sleep! The rooms would be fine as adequate. Beware though make sure if you book a room ask for a non-smoking one!

Hi Sally, thank you for your review and apologies for any disappointment you felt during your stay with us due to your room. Unfortunately if you book via a third party, room allocation is often out of our control however we do try our best to allocate guests to there desired rooms unless we are fully booked. We are very sorry that this impacted your stay with us and would like another chance to welcome you back, should you give us another opportunity please email me directly and I will take £10.00 off your booking and ensure a non-smoking is booked.

Kind regards

Booked this hotel at an excellent rate for a one night, three adults stay after Bruce Springsteen's concert at the Ricoh.
Three person room spacey, comfy and airy.
Shower good, bathroom good.
Free parking, WiFi not brilliant though.
Staff brilliant.
Will stay here again when The Boss plays in Coventry next.

It's a hotel located in a a motorway service area, humble and very simple. It's ok for a night while on a business trip and you just need a decent place to sleep.
I had a quiet night, despite the bedroom being located on the groundfloor and outside a few meters away is the parking area for lorries.

The internet speed was ok and the general cleanness good.
The breakfast is served in the bedroom, at the check-in you have to choose what you will want to have for breakfast and the hour it must be delivered to your bedroom.

DO I WILL RETURN?
Can happen, but not as my first choise

Checked in 2250 hrs, after long drive from Scotland, check in closes at 2300 hrs
Room was clean basic.
After checking in providing all details address car registration number etc, had good sleep. Was close to NEC and staff gave helpful directions in the morning once leaving.
However this is when the problems started, we received an overnight parking fine from parking eye, and even tho we called and email hotel who said they would sort this out, we received a final legal reminder and the bill had gone up too £100.
I would not use this hotel again, due to the on going difficulties with the parking charges

Room tip: Make sure they pass on your car registration details to parking eye company

I stayed here for work purposes given the hotel's proximity to my morning meeting. The room was clean and comfortable and staff very welcoming and helpful upon my arrival. Despite the location next to the motorway, the room was very quiet. My rate included breakfast and I opted to have the continental breakfast which was delivered to my room. The breakfast was a very simple affair of cereal, fruit, cereal, orange juice and a croissant, but the presentation of the food was lovely (milk for the cereal served in a small glass milk bottle). I was impressed as I was not expecting this kind of service at a motorway hotel!
I would recommend this hotel as the quality of the room is consistent with another Day's I have recently stayed at. The rooms are similar to those of a Premier inn but I would say of a higher standard.
