Well its simple, you want sex drugs and rock n roll, this is not for you.
My first thoughts, when we arrived i thought oh my god, never having stayed in a three star hotel before.Out in the middle of nowhere.
however to my delight once pointed in the right direction from the staff who are very helpful and accomadating, the holiday was in full swing.
They helped with eveything from hiring a car to local bars and places to see.
rooms are more than adiquate and the food was surprising good. A few activities do exist but hey be honest in 40 degree heat " seriously".
limassol in your HIRED CAR 5 mins. beaches average . USE YOUR CAR.
PATHOS and NAPA, A must
.Over all well done MONIATIS you opened my snobby eyes.
See you soon
Gary Becci xx

Hotel is lovely and clean and the beds are made and towels are changed every day. We stayed B & B but could pay for evening meal at 10 euro each, we did this once but not again as we did not enjoy the food. Breakfast was nice, english and continental, however towards end of week did get repetative. Staff friendly apart from a couple of them who hardley ever cracked a smile (we nicknamed them smiler, ha ha). Nice pool, very clean, plenty of sunbeds however they have seen better days and not very comfy. Rooms basic but nice, private balcony and good sized bathroom and living area, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space also you get free air con which is a must, TV not many channels but a couple are ok, if you like music channels and euro news. Hotel is about 30-40 mins walk from main town and beach, you can get a bus that runs every half hour, however they stop running at 6.50pm during the week and even earlier at weekends, taxi back about 8-10 euros, so can be costly if on a budget as we where. Not much near hotel apart from supermarket and a bakery, couple of bars about a 10-15 min walk in the village. Main downfall was price of drinks in the hotel, 10 euro for a pint of Keo (local beer) and a whisky and coke, they do happy hour but drinks still not cheap. No entertainment at night at hotel so nothing to do apart from stay in room if not want to go out, too expensive to sit in bar!! Internet is 1 euro for 12 mins but it's slow and does not work. Good place to stay if you want peace and quiet. All in all a good holiday and we would go back.

I stayed there with my wife for a quiet week long holiday to relax. I am familiar with Cyprus and especially with the Paphos area but we decided to give Limassol a look for a change. We knew that the hotel was not in the main tourist area and was situated in a quiet village about 2 miles from the sea front. Do not go to this hotel if you want the bright lights of the resort as it will require a 8-10 euro taxi ride at night although there is a regular us service during the day. The hotel has incredibly friendly staff, large, very clean rooms, surprisingly good food for a 3 star hotel, a fabulous pool area and a nice ambience. We paid only £40 a night, full board and that for two of us! We had to tell them to stop giving us food as we couldn't eat any more! If you want a quiet relaxed holiday and you are on a limited budget then I would definitely recommend this hotel.
other plus points:
Unlimited air conditioning for free
Loads of free sunbeds
Nice pub in the village

minus points;
No evening entertainment
No english TV
Drinks are pricey but there is a supermarket close by

My sister and I booked this hotel as we were going to a friends wedding, she lives in Yermasoyia, so we wanted to be near her as we were going to be doing a lot of socialising in the town and nearby. We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly, We stayed full board as it was so cheap to upgrade knowing that we wouldn't be there for all meals. The food was great, Breakfast was a choice of Continental or English - we had a mix of the two! Lunch was a choice of anything from the pool menu, swordfish, pizza, lamb chops with a starter and pudding too! The evening meal was a buffet style with a good selection of meat, fish, salads. The room although basic was very clean, with housekeeping everyday and sheets changed every couple of days. The swimming pool was very clean and not to cold! We visited the beach a couple of times, which was only a 10 min bus ride from the hotel,( £2 all day ticket) You could walk to the beach (about 40 mins). The only downside was the swimming academy, every day at 3 o'clock loads of children turned up for their swimming lessons which lasted about 1-2 hrs- but that did not really spoil the day as they did not take over the pool, you could still take a dip. They had a few functions while we were there, birthday parties etc.. but these were held in the room next to the dining room and you could not hear the music in your room. If you are looking for somewhere to chill out this is the place. If you want something a bit more lively then you can always take a cab into town. I would definitely stay there again for a relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: We had a pool view room, which was very quite.

my wife and I have just returned from a weeks holiday in this small and friendly hotel and we were extremely pleased with with the hotel and cant understand the negative reviews on this site.
Firstly we booked our holiday independantly of any travel agents to get a good deal so no transfers were included, after picking up our hire car at the airport we drove to the hotel with only a rough idea of its location but it was extremely easy to find. Leave the main motorway ( A1 ) at junction 24 and head inland and hotel is very well signposted.
Anna on reception was very friendly and helpful even giving us free maps of the island.
Our room was everything you would expect from a small family run budget hotel,ie clean and comfortableand was cleaned daily.
The outdoor pool area and gardens were very nice and whilst the pool is a little on the small side its perfectly big enough and you are most definately not banging heads with other swimmers all the time as one reviewer has said!!
The breakfast was the same every day with a good selection of cereals, yoghurt, bacon,
eggs, sausages, beans etc. and the evening meals always had a selection of salads with a choice of at least four hot dishes and was always very well presented.
The Moniatis hotel is set in a residential area and some of the facilities are used by the local cypriots who are always polite and friendly,There was even a Cypriot wedding reception held in the garden one evening which was interesting to see.
We took a small travel kettle and tea and coffee with us which I recommend as there are no facilites for an early morning cuppa in the rooms and due to its location car hire is essential.
If you are looking for a lively 18/30 type holiday with non stop entertainment on your doorstep then maybe this isnt the hotel for you but if you like a small clean and very friendly establishment then book with confidence.
